Can anyone out there find ANY optimism in this situation?
I mean calling out your offensive line and telling them to "do their job" is not going to help matters any. Add in that Javon Ringer looks ready to return as the "backup" (future starter?) and this has all the signs of a "Randy Moss 2010 season"....where you feel you HAVE TO start him because he was a first rounder, but he disappoints each and every week.
I took him in an auction and an online championship over a month ago, but thank goodness I didn't take this turd anywhere else.

He's really rich.
Oh, you were asking for optimism from someone not named Chris Johnson. My bad.

before the year started i loved the guy and thought he would have a big year. thank god i only was able to get him in one league and have a nice team with him doing nothing. next week he is at the texans which is not the best matchup. need LeShoure to step up in case cj2 is dead wood this year.

It's only two games. Plenty of time left - over 80% of the season left. The Titans and CJ will turn things around VERY soon. No need to panic just yet.

Bad situation. Maybe you're seeing the impact of 408 touches in 2009 and 360 in 2010. Whatever it is, 2009 was a long time ago and he's not that player anymore. 5.3 ypc in 2008-09. 4.1 ypc in the 34 games since. The line and QB aren't helping but he's an RB2 at best at this point.

Tragedy impacts different people different ways. When Brett Favre’s father died, he went on to play one of the greatest games of his career against the Oakland Raiders on Monday Night Football in 2003.
Maybe he need a week to deal with it!

Look at some of the comments he made during pre-season, along with his history. My take - Chris Johnson wants to be a rich and famous athlete, not play football. One-hit wonder, too tough a game to play without desire. Sorry, no optimism.
