Each team was given 1000 shares to wager with, used as you would dollars if it were real money being wagered. Matt has turned his shares into 11000 shares! There is a very nice prize for top 3 players at the end of the regular season... 23/57 are OUT altogether in this pool.

How did Jake blow it?

Last time I talked to the owner of Jake's Lake he had (I believe I am recalling this properly) somewhere over 25,000 shares and lead all other teams by at least 15,000 shares.... How in the world did he blow that and now be "out" of it? Someone give him the number for the closest Gamblers Anonymous.

JakesLakeMohawk was extremely active and extremely aggressive.

Two games that really propelled him to where he seemed unreachable was the Cowboys/Falcons game, where he wagered 5000 shares on the under and won...Then wagered 10000 shares(wow!!!!) and won, on the Texans in Chicago.

But December really kicked his butt on many games.

The two games at the end that cut the jugular were 9000 shares on the Eagles at Dallas, and 10000 shares on the Packers at Giants.

He could have sat on his lead but he got the itch. This game is so damn fun that its hard to just leave it alone! I tell myself every year that I'm not even going to make a wager until week 6-8, once I have a good idea of how good or bad the teams really are. Then I'm out by week 5.

Just to show it is still possible for anyone here to win...Big Ed has 400 shares. In one game, he could turn it into 800...2 wins, it's 1600...3 wins in a row and he's got 3200...4 wins in a row, 6400...5 wins in a row and he's got 12800 and possibly in 1st place by then. Improbable, but possible. You've gotta be hot at the right time here. Good luck to everyone.
