OLC PLAYOFF TEAMS.
OLC PLAYOFF TEAMS.
Taking only two teams is brutal.
Can we please add 4 teams to the playoffs or modify the format somehow so that four teams can get in for 2013?
Thoughts?

Re: OLC PLAYOFF TEAMS.
4 is too many IMO, Erok.
I would make an argument that adding in one more team (total of 3) based on total points would be good...but nothing more than that for me.
It's already a bit of a lottery.....why make it worse?

Re: OLC PLAYOFF TEAMS.
312 teams will be in already without considering wild cards. Adding a third team takes it to like 468 without wild card teams. 312 is horrible, 468 I'd rather just draw a name out of a hat for the winner...
Re: OLC PLAYOFF TEAMS.
Isn't it only 281 for this year that get in?
Re: OLC PLAYOFF TEAMS.
156 leagues x 2 = 312HOF wrote:Isn't it only 281 for this year that get in?
Re: OLC PLAYOFF TEAMS.
Ah ok.
I thought it was top 15% only.
Thanks

Re: OLC PLAYOFF TEAMS.
Sorry, I stand corrected here.
What I was trying to say was that it would be nice to adopt a format similar to FFPC somehow. You would still only have the Best Record/ high points regular season winners make the big playoff, but it would be nice to try to have 4 league teams (2 points +2 record) compete over two weeks for the league prize, prior to the start of the big playoffs.

Re: OLC PLAYOFF TEAMS.
Or separate the big playoffs from the league playoffs. Allow 2 or 3 teams into the big championship. But treat the league playoffs like a Satellite or Diamond league - top 2 each in H2H and points get in.
Re: OLC PLAYOFF TEAMS.
I would be all for this, but would suggest 3 teams for league money....H2H, points, points. Although 4 might work as well, I think 3 might be the best solution.Sandman62 wrote:Or separate the big playoffs from the league playoffs. Allow 2 or 3 teams into the big championship. Re: OLC PLAYOFF TEAMS.
It would be nice to have more teams compete for the league title, only two is very tough and eliminates a lot of competition.
Do the standard top 15% for the big playoffs, and then have the top two points/top two W/L like the guy was saying compete for the league title over the course of the next three weeks.
$500 for regular season top points
$500 for regular season top W/L
$1100 battle between four teams, not two, for weeks 14-16
I'd be more inclined to buy three online teams if it meant I had a 33% chance in each league to make the playoffs and compete for the money. Two spots is too tight.
