13 yards were put up today by BJGE....the 'law firm". Unbelievable. The guy has been brutal all year. I expected a RB by committee there this season, but this is ridiculous....

Yes he is, but he is he really worse than Spiller, David Wilson, TRichardson, Chris Johnson, and Doug Martin based on where they were taken?

I say no.

BGE was not a very difficult call as a bust. He doesn't catch the ball, he is nothing special, and they drafted the best RB in the draft. If ever someone had everything in perfect alignment to bust it was BGE.

With Ridley, it's hard to trust a NE running back, much less one who needs TD's to produce.

The one I don't get is Spiller. FJax is much more involved than I ever thought he would be.

Wilson is someone I was very high on. How can an offensive line be that bad???? It seems that Wilson is normally drawing first contact about 2 yards deep. He has no chance. Plus they aren't using him in the passing game. He was definitely a high risk high reward guy.

I don't really consider guys who get injured as busts. Sjax should be fine when he comes back. He just had bad luck.

I agree about the injuries, and certainly about BGE.

Wilson's problem is I don't think he has the "mental makeup" to the game. Last year he was seen crying on the sidelines that first Thursday night game. This year in his first game he had 2 fumbles and missed at least 2 blocks.

I think he is playing "scared" and is afraid to make a mistake.

Spiller......I blame it on the coaching, as they make NO effort to get him involved in the passing game (where he was VERY effective last year). The only coach who is worse in the NFL is Greg Schiano. He shouldn't have a job, as a GOOD coach would be at least 2-2 (probably 3-1), but he totally blew the NYJ, New Orleans, and Arizona games with his crappy play calling!

You are probably right on Spiller Billy. That makes sense as I just couldn't understand his lack of involvement. I guess that whenever a team has a QB or coaching change you just have to be cautious as you don't know how that will affect the rest of the players.

Just want to bitch about Ridley a little. I have him in almost all my leagues. I wasnt even looking for any huge upside. I just really thought his floor was last years numbers, even minus 100 yards rushing from last years total and I was fine. I like to grab wrs early and the rb position always gets littered with injuries, I just thought for sure he would be a solid 12-16 points a week. It is one of the worst RBBC situations in football. Its 3 guys. Anyway, I still will start him every week just so I dont miss that week where he gets 120 and 2 tds.

Compared to some of the other guys that were mentioned, the law firm was a lot LESS likely of a bust given his ADP. I got him in round 9 intending for him to be a flex play at times but had to use him the last two weeks at RB2. I expected a RBBC in Cincinnati this season but the law firm should be good for 60 yards a week and a score every now and then. In other words a decent pick. Now let's look at some of the other guys mentioned:

Spiller - great talent, but plays for an always poor team with a new coach.
Richardson - that was a very easy call to avoid on draft day. Awful team, no QB, defenses stack the box against him and he has averaged 3.5 yards per carry for career. We'll see how he does in Indy.
C Johnson - had about 6 good games last year and a whole lot of poor ones.
Martin - Same as Johnson - had some great games last year but no consistency.
Ridley - agree. Very surprised he has been a bust so far.

I guess its a matter of analysis and perception, because it was pretty obvious in preseason that Bernard was the guy with the juice while BGE was just a boring, average RB.

60 yards x 16 games is still almost 1000 yards for the season, which I would never have predicted for BGE in light of the Bernard pick and Bernard's clearly better talent. That said, I don't have Bernard once in any of my many leagues, so I'm being a little "rear view mirror"ish here.
