hey all..we still have a few weeks....just wanted to let you know I will be running the march madness pool again. Let me know if you will be in and I will start the entry count. Same rules as last year,ie $25 bucks an entry and 2 entry max per person. I will also send a note thru the website to all of last years participants. Just wanted to get the word out early so you can plan appropriately.

I join so many of these that I cant remember what groups used what rules....
Do you count play-in games aka 1st round? Could you post the rules....

Scoring: Second Round: The weight for each correct pick is 1. There is no bonus applied.
Third Round: The weight for each correct pick is 2. There is no bonus applied.
Sweet 16 ® : The weight for each correct pick is 4. There is no bonus applied.
Elite 8 ® : The weight for each correct pick is 8. There is no bonus applied.
Final Four ® : The weight for each correct pick is 16. There is no bonus applied.
Championship: The weight for each correct pick is 32. There is no bonus applied.

Tiebreaker: The total score of the Championship game.

Maximum Brackets: You can have up to 2 brackets per user.

Constitution: Payment is $25 per entry. Max of 2 entries per person.

1st 2000 (80 times entry fee)
2nd 375 (15 times entry fee)
3rd 250 (10 times entry fee)
4th 100 (4 times entry fee)
last 25 (money back)

Its a few weeks til brackets are announced..but since its basically beginning of March. I wanted to start organizing who is in this year...rules are below. Total payouts will be determined based off of total entries but it will closely mimic last years numbers. Payment instructions are below too. i just sent $25.02... my $.02 is this: I think we should even out the prizes.. 80% for first is too much in my humble opinion...

i plan on winning again so i prefer 100%:)

i basically try and come up with nice round numbers once i have all the entries in and paid for......we could surpassl last years number at this rate in terms of entries.

i just hate having a great run in one of these things but not quite finishing first, and then getting a small %. I mean I like 75% better than 80% but if it's up to me I would lower it to 60 or 50%. I am in other pools that pay 50 30 and 20%....

i also hate poker tournaments that are top heavy and the NFFC prizes that are top heavy. I hate making a great run, beating 90%+ of the competition, and then getting to kiss my sister...

just my $.02... you should do whatever the majority want...
