My First Nine Picks

In the first DC of the year, I received the 12th pick from KDS (my first choice). Hoping to have a big receiver fall to me such as DT or Dez. Unfortunately I didnt get either. As my pick approached I had my mind set that I was going to take 2 running backs, but I decided to diversify. Here are my first 5 picks..

RB Gio Bernard
WR Josh Gordon
QB Drew Brees
WR T.Y. Hilton
RB Ryan Matthews
WR Riley Cooper
WR Mike Evans
RB Chris Ivory
TE Greg Olson

Thoughts?

Absolutely and I am happy with him, at the end of the first round... but I would have probably taken Thomas or Bryant before Gordon, but I am good with Gordon. It is definitely interesting, being the first DC, since there are no other drafts to go by... It will be interesting to see the variances of the first few rounds, in weeks to come.

Was this a 12 team draft? I like your first 5 either way.

Yes 12 teamer - I really hate drafting Ryan Matthews, especially with them signing Donald Brown, but they say he is still the man, so.... Not much left at RB in round 5, so I took a shot... waiting another 23 picks and there would probably be nothing. Still a lot of receivers left.

Can you share the remaining starting or at least interesting RBs? Any interesting rookie picks yet?

I don't have 9 picks yet but my first 8 are:

RB: LeSean McCoy, Doug Martin

WR: Keenan Allen, Michael Crabtree, Michael Floyd, Torrey Smith, Justin Blackmon

TE: Jason Witten

Do we start QB's in this league... :D
