Fanball in Chicago, NOT AWESOME!

The fanball crew in Chicago were terrible! I happened to be in the league with the loudest, most annoying group of drafters in both drafts. Fanball was notified of the issues with these guys but they did not address them. They actually encouraged the juvenile behavior by video taping them. I know that we are all there to have a good time but when things get out of hand they need to step in and say something. I know that this would not have been a problem in past events because Greg and the crew at F&W would taken action to stop a few from ruining the draft for many. A good time was not had by all.

Swine - I'm sorry to hear of that incident. No one should be put through that.
I'm interested in hearing Ryan's take on this as well. I have 100% faith that this will be addressed and a CBA for handling "rowdy participants" will be put into place for next year.

I think the only resolution is no more drink tickets for Chicago.
We'll take them here in New York so they don't go to waste.....

I've heard different perspectives on this and while I appreciate everyone's opinion -- I know, regardless of what we do, that we will never make everyone happy or make all the right decisions.
Could things have been handled differently?
I'm sure there were issues that could have been handled differently in NY.
For instance -- who stole one of the draft clocks after the Classic?
There will always be things that are outside of our control and we will do the best we can to address these issues.
I'm confident Mike Sheets and his team did the best they could.

That is a good point Swine, as I didn't want to bring it up. But since you did.....
I was in the 12 teamer with these guys, and all I can say is they were "college kids" having fun. It was VERY annoying to have to listen to a comment on EVERY pick. I was unaware that the staff at Fanball was "condoning" this by filming them.
Based on some things they did drafting their team (won't go into specifics) I personally will trade the jawing and grandstanding to have people like them in my league all day long.

Billy, I believe they took their 2nd WR in the 9th round in the 14-teamer.

NY'ers can deal with it, midwest can't. Sums it up.

This is true Russ but in the interest of full disclosure, they did hold back in filling the WR position until round 13. The blocking strategy may have been in effect though as they did nail some half dozen hand cuff RB's (none their own) by the end of round 11...
As Billy said, if one can tune out the 'noise' you can field a pretty solid team. Maybe they just wanted to get into everyone's head as I will say they most certainly threw the draft rythem off...lol.
