Chad Schroeder Wins NFFC Diamond League & $60,000
The tag team of Chad Schroeder and Nelson Sousa barely got into the Championship Round of the NFFC Diamond as they needed a win in Week 13 and a lot of other things to happen. But in a possible turn of good fortune for Chad and Nelson -- two guys who are creditors in the baffling WCOFF payout crisis -- they got into the Diamond League Championship Round thanks to their h2h record and then ran the table in Weeks 14-16.
The Cocktails Franchise finished with 605.25 points to beat Rob Silver by just 7.09 points for the $60,000 grand prize. Rob won $20,000 for having the regular season best h2h record and most total points, while adding another $25,000 for his runnerup finish. Pat Sorge won $7,000 for finishing third.
Cocktails Franchise scored 143.4 points in Week 14, 194.3 in Week 15 and 135.75 in Week 16 to hang onto the league title. Great job guys.

KJ Duke took home the $2,000 prize for winning the NFFC Diamond League Consolation Round. KJ finished 6th during the regular season, but would have won the Championship Round with his point total of 618.56 points.

Nothing against anyone else in this contest, but I was rooting for you guys. Nelson, I enjoyed our weekly (at times daily ) chats during the season and especially the playoffs/championship weeks. You're one of the real good guys I've met in this game. IChad, I look forward to meeting you in Vegas come March. Both of you guys are two of the best and rightfully most respected players in our game. Well done and well deserved.

This is awesome! Have to root for Chad after everything he's been through this last year. I had the pleasure of meeting his partner in crime Nelson and his wife drafting against him in Vegas. Class acts. Enjoy the cash guys!!

Great job Nelson and Chad. I thought you guys were sunk with no consistent QB, but then along came Tebow! $17 bid, no runner-up bid...very nice pick-up!

Thanks for the kind words everyone.
KJ and Rob had the best teams I thought and just feel lucky to pull this out in league loaded with great players.
It was tough sailing this year and I can't even begin to explain how we made the playoffs, but I do know that David Copperfield would be proud.
Glenn- Amen brother. It is amazing how things workout sometimes.
