Does Head 2 Head still have a place?
Full disclosure: I'm sulking because one of my OC teams is 5-7 having scored the 2nd most points in the league. The top points scoring team is only 7-5 so the head to head winner is going to get in. About 150th overall so top 15% not good enough to get in the play-offs.
With the mantra of the best teams getting paid - what has the head to head leading team done to deserve a pay out apart from be lucky?

So we have one thread asking the NFFC to expand its payout and playoff format to include more h2h teams because that's the true spirit of competition and now we have another thread saying h2h is all luck and not a true indicator of the best teams. Which one is it guys?
H2H is the one component of fantasy football that will always be debated. Does it have full value or does it just bring more luck into the equation? But I know we can't have it both ways. We can't have one owner singing the praises of h2h and another owner denouncing it completely. There is a happy medium somewhere.

Head to Head is for local leagues in my opinion I think high stakes should combine H2H with victory points and still have total points.
H2H gets 2 VP then top 3 scoring teams for the week get 3 Victory points next 3 scoring teams get 2 VP next 3 scoring get 1 VP bottom 3 get 0 VP. You can still have best record and most points to determine league winners like we have now it will take most of the luck of h2h out of the best record.

I think these conversations are what make this format and fantasy football great to begin with. Both h2h and total points have a significant place in this game. Depending on how your season is going determines where a persons allegiance lies within this debate. It seems to be such an evenly distributed debate between the two sides that it's balanced just perfect. I think the NFFC should take steps to adjust the game when the conversation becomes lopsided. I don't think that's the case here.

We've already been accused of having too many complicated tweaks to our game. Now you want us to add one more and still grow to the masses?
Again, others say simple is what works best. Folks just want to show up to a first class event, draft and compete for h2h and points. Maybe even just for 11 weeks. Even the grand prize doesn't matter, I'm told. Who's right?

You are at greta lengths in all your posts on format to say how important it is the best teams are rewarded. here is a case of luck being rewarded. I think it's a healthy debate in whcih I am currently 100% biased

I think all play with maybe 3 tiers for a 3/2/1 points system as someone mentioned in another thread would be good. Add a live updating weekly table and it's just as, if not more, exciting thatn head to head.

But I wouldnt mind seeing it go from 10 to 15 %
or How about the top 10 % as wild cards along with any teams that won 10 or even 9 + games.that would help the point getters and the head to head tough breaks.
