It appears that Brandon Lloyd is heading to the St. Louis Rams. The Rams released Mike Sims-Walker.
This will be a much better situation for Lloyd. Lets see if he can resemble the receiver he was last year in Denver.

I agree Jim. We've been talking about this in my Week 6 thread. Here's how I would break the trade down from a fantasy perspective:

Rams
Huge boost for Bradford. He finally gets a No. 1 WR to work with.

Big boost for Lloyd. He goes to a familiar system with a talented QB and a coordinator who fed him a ton of targets last season.

Downgrades for Mark Clayton, Danario Alexander, Brandon Gibson and Greg Salas. Maybe Alexander or Clayton can generate some value as the No. 2 WR but either way they'll take a backseat to Lloyd. Salas is probably still worth looking at but the slot WR may not be needed as much with an actual go-to WR now on the team. Right now, the only WR I'd be comfortable with on the Rams is Lloyd.

Broncos
Potential downgrade for Tebow unless someone steps up and plays really well. It's not often a team loses its No. 1 WR and doesn't suffer a downgrade of some kind.

Boost for Eric Decker since he's likely first in line to be the new No. 1 WR.

Mild boosts for Demaryius Thomas and Eddie Royal. Thomas is the guy the Broncos really like but he's yet to prove he can stay healthy. If he gets hurt again, then Royal's value is likely to increase.

That offesne was a disaster this year so far. Obviously Bradford is better than Feeley, but is was not like Bradford was tearing it up for fantasy owners.

It's not about the Rams making the playoffs, it's about Sam Bradford being a helluva lot better than A.J. Feely and the need to continue his development for the first time with an actual No. 1 WR. This is something Bradford and the Rams badly need and now it appears it will be put on the shelf for awhile at least.

From a fantasy perspective, this is obviously a huge blow as well to both Bradford owners and Lloyd owners. Things were looking great for both. Now Bradford's on the shelf for who knows how long and Lloyd suffers the misfortune of playing with the worst QB he's been teamed with this season. That's saying something when you consider he just left Kyle Orton and Tim Tebow behind.

So yeah, huge blow to the Rams and fantasy owners as well.

The huge blow for Bradford owners was when they called out the name "Sam Bradford" at their drafts. let's review the numbers to date:

- 3 tds in 5 games.
- 3 games of 188 yards passing or under.

Now let's compare this fantasy stud and his 72.7 points to date to other players of significant note who have played 5 games or LESS:

- Tavaris Jackson - 93.4 points - or 21 more than Bradford through 5 games
- Sexy Rexy Grossman - 81.9 points - or 9 more points than Bradford, despite that debacle he had yesterday
- Chad Henne - 80.15, or 8 more than Bradford IN THREE GAMES
- Curtis Painter - 68 points, or 4 less than Bradford IN THREE GAMES

Jack, who is calling Bradford a "fantasy stud?" I certainly never said that. What I did say was he's a more talented QB than A.J. Feely and adding Brandon Lloyd was going to boost his fantasy value (in my opinion considerably). At no time, did I call Sam Bradford a "fantasy stud" so far this season nor at any time did I even remotely infer he has been.

If you want to believe his potential absence from the Rams' lineup isn't a major problem for St. Louis or something that negatively impacts his fantasy value, that's your right. I will respectfully disagree with both of those points of view.

Brandon Lloyd= some of the best hands in the league.

Rams WR's= Collectively some of the worst hands in the league.

Automatic upgrade for whoever is throwing the ball to him on Sunday. Once Bradford is healthy, the rest of the season will serve as a building block for the Bradford, Lloyd, and McDaniels relationship in St. Louis.
