Paul Dietzman Wins 2017 NFFC Primetime & $150,000

Paul Dietzman of Trimont, Minnesota had an amazing run in the Championship Round of the NFFC Primetime to win the 2017 title and the $150,000 grand prize. Paul finished third in his Sept. 9th Primetime Online League to squeak into the Championship Round as he was 86th out of 140 teams entering the playoffs. He then went on an amazing tear during Weeks 14-16 to become our 10th different different Primetime champion.

Paul scored 573.45 points in Weeks 14-16 to win the title. He had the third highest score in Week 14 with 200.45 points and then posted 170.55 points in Week 15 (28th highest). He entered Week 16 in 5th place, 20 points out of first place, but emerged on top with a 202.45 score in Week 16, the second highest score of the week. His final score of 713.52 points was also one of the highest in the history of the Primetime Championship Round.

Not surprisingly, Todd Gurley led Paul's CatLike Reflexes team to the title. His 3-week total of ... led a lot of fantasy teams to the title. He scored 49.6 points in Week 16 to lead this team, while Paul also got 37.45 from Jared Goff, 32.3 from Dion Lewis, 26 from Arizona's D/ST and 16.5 from DeAndre Hopkins. The combination of Gurley & Hopkins was definitely a winning one in 2017. Great job Paul.

Paul is an NFFC veteran who has played in our contests every year since 2014. He had four Primetime teams this year and won one league title, one overall title and finished third with that team. It's very likely that he will never forget this incredible three-week run with a team that got hot at the right time. Rounding out our Top 5 were John Bosch, Kimra Schleicher, Chad Schroeder and Joseph DiGiacomo. Great job everyone.
