Who Goes No. 1 In The 2018 NFL Draft?

The Cleveland Browns are on the clock in the 2018 NFL Draft. GM John Dorsey said they have not received a legitimate trade offer for the pick, so we can all expect the Browns to make this pick on Thursday night.
With that in mind, let's see who the NFFC owners think the Browns will pick. You can vote once. What do you say?

I voted for who they should take - not who the Browns would normally take. We'll see but I hope they get this right. You can only whiff so many times at QB......

I think this is a fascinating draft & cannot wait to see how it plays itself out: two original NFL franchises with significant history in the Browns & Giants with the top two picks; another NY team in the Jets at the top of the draft; the top 3 teams all of whom have QB needs; 4 top QB's plus Lamar Jackson all with different skill sets & personalties; a stud RB who is a consensus best overall player; a stud pass rusher in Bradley Chubb; franchise-altering decisions to be made; none of the GM's are tipping their hands as to what they will do. Add it all up & you have the makings of a tremendous Draft Night of drama. I can't wait.
Based on my intel & research, one of the best things I have heard so far as to what John Dorsey may do is that he is a proto-type drafter, i.e. he puts a lot of stock in the measurables and is a height/weight/speed/arm guy and has certain physical protypes for a position that he looks for & drafts for. Also, the last time he had the top pick he took Eric Fischer who was not a conensus top pick guy but was a ht/wt/speed guy out of Central Michigan a non-BCS school. Based on this "scouting report" of the GM, this would point toward Josh Allen as the pick. However, Scott McGloghan (former Redskins GM & Super Bowl Seahawks architect) LOVES Baker Mayfield or at least those are the reports coming out on who he likes. Furthermore, Mary Kay Cabot, in my opinion the most locked-in Bowns beat reporter reported today that it is down to Allen & Mayfield.
Is McGloghan's reported love of Mayfield a smoke screen to entice someone (the Jets?) to trade up to draft him at No. 1 so they can take Allen at No. 3 & accumulate more picks? What does Gettleman do at No. 2? My guess is the trade of Pierre-Paul is a tip-off & that he covets a pass-rusher in Bradley Chubb. I've got Baker Mayfield at No. 3 (or No. 1) to the Jets, and the Browns grab Saquon Barkley at No. 4 and the prissy prima-donna QB's from LA fall outside the top 4. Of course, this is just fanciful tea leave reading because I have no idea what will happen. Damn you NFL, I just can't quit you.

I agree Coz and I think Dorsey does like Allen more. But there doesn't seem to be any other team as high on him as the Browns, so they could likely get him at 4. Why not take Barkley first and get Allen at 4? I think the Jets take Mayfield and the Giants would then take Chubb. Maybe the Giants trade out to someone who wants a QB at 2 if Barkley goes first, but either way they should get one of those two QBs.
It's very, very interesting. I love the intrigue as well.
By the way, we are doing the same poll on our SiriusXM show tonight. Will be interesting to see. I did one on my Twitter feed and it was 53% for Darnold, 21% for Mayfield, 10% for Barkley and 16% for Josh Allen. Very interesting.

This should be interesting tonight. Do the Browns take Sam Darnold or Baker Mayfield? Those two QBs seem to be the prevailing choices right now.
We did a poll on our SiriusXM show last night and got the following results:
51% - Sam Darnold
19% - Josh Allen
16% - Saquon Barkley
14% - Baker Mayfield
I also did a Twitter poll and got similar results:
54% - Sam Darnold
20% - Baker Mayfield
15% - Josh Allen
11% - Saquon Barkley
We also had two guests on our show last night who predicted that the Browns would take Darnold. Mike Clay of ESPN.com said that would be the most logical choice and Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram said the same thing. We'll see.
Should be interesting. I know I'll be watching.

Right or wrong, I think it's Mayfield to the Browns at #1.
