The Pace Of Our Drafts

Post by Tom Kessenich » Fri Jun 29, 2018 8:37 pm

One of the best things about our drafts right now in my opinion is the pace. Our draft room is greatly improved and one key feature is having the current day's ADP flowing in as the player default list. That prevents a lot of searching since the players you're targeting are generally near the top of the list in each round. The great news about the pace is that, for those who really love to draft, you can get into more than one draft in a day. As we get deeper into the drafting season I think we'll see more and more of that.

But for those interested in the length of time for our drafts here's a look at how things are going. Hopefully you can use this to gauge which drafts you want to join each day:

Cutline - Just over an hour
Online Championship - Under 90 minutes
Draft Champions Express - Two hours (tonight's got done in under that).

Last night's DC Express got done in one hour and 50 minutes. That's sensational time for a 35-round draft.

The Online Championship I watched got done in 75 minutes.

The pace of our drafts continues to be fantastic this year with our new draft room software. For those who love to draft and want to do multiple drafts in one night that's become EASY to do in our contest.

Wow. That's fantastic. The Online Championship league I watched on Friday got done in 1 hour and 25 minutes with no Help calls. We now have had two straight DC Express Leagues finish in 2 hours or less. That's amazing for 420 picks.

Something is clicking online here this year. Whether it's the new software or just better drafters, something is working right this year. And the Cutline Championship can get through 26 rounds in 75 minutes or less, leaving you time to do multiple Cutlines in one night. August and early September is going to be CRAZY GOOD this year.

Enjoy and GREAT JOB everyone who has competed so far in our online nightly drafts. Smooth as silk so far.

With most of our weeknight draft times at 8 ET and 10 ET right now (more times will be coming soon) you can easily draft at 8 and again at 10 if you want. OCs and Cutlines both getting done in well under 2 hours so if you like to draft a lot we're making it VERY easy for you to do it this year.

And zero Help calls. We can't begin to thank you all for being as prepared as you have been so far. Great to see :)

Improved software in the draft room
Slightly reduced times
Current ADPs being loaded

All huge changes that are clearly being reflected in the times of our drafts.
