Bellagio To Host NFFC-Exclusive Poker Tournament

All of us here at the NFFC are proud and happy to report a new promotional partnership with MGM Resorts that will provide some real-money benefits to our customers attending the Las Vegas live events at the Bellagio. We know that it takes time, money and effort to attend the live events and we want to do everything we can to make that experience as enjoyable and cost-effective as possible.

So here are a few ways that the NFFC and MGM Resorts will make things more enjoyable this year:

This is for ALL of MGM's Las Vegas properties, not just the Bellagio. Book or re-book now and save good money during your stay in Las Vegas!!

2. Exclusive Friday Night Poker Tournament: The Bellagio will host an NFFC-exclusive poker tournament in the Bellagio Poker Room on Friday, Sept. 6th starting at 10 pm PT. The payout of prizes will be 100 percent of the entry fees as the MGM will waive all expenses and vig to create a special experience just for our members that night. There will also be free drinks and the tournament will conclude by 2 am. Registration will begin at 9 pm and we'll wait for all participants to finish in the auction leagues and the Diamond League before starting. Cost of entry will be $100 per player and we'll create a signup thread in advance. Look for more details soon, but keeping our NFFC members together that night in a unique setting with additional prizes and free drinks seems like a fun addition to the weekend. Look for a separate thread on this tourney soon.

3. Exclusive NFFC $25 Bonus for the playMGM App: MGM Resorts would like our players to easily make their football bets that weekend by downloading the playMGM app. Nevada laws state that all bettors must first make an initial deposit in the physical sports book of an MGM Resorts location, but once that initial down payment is made additional bets can be made throughout the property at any time. Downloading the app is free, but MGM Resorts will add an additional $25 to that account for any NFFC owner who initially deposits $100 into their account. We will do everything we can to make that initial signup and deposit process painless and timely, so be ready for a free $25 to use that weekend. Look for more details on a separate thread coming soon, but this is a great offer from MGM and it's only available to NFFC users. There are two other states that also have gambling apps and allow online betting -- New Jersey and Pennsylvania -- and we hope to have offers for those state residents soon as well.

4. NFFC Thursday Night Viewing Party: MGM will be involved in our Thursday Night Viewing Party on Thursday, Sept. 5th for the Packers-Bears season opener. We actually have two Executive Penthouse suites in the Spa Tower available for this party and all NFFC attendees are invited to attend and watch the game with us while drinking, eating and gambling!! How can it get any better than that? We actually have the suite with the boardroom and the other suite with the pool table!! Should be a ton of fun. MGM officials will also be on hand to expedite signups for MLife (you need to be an MLife member first before downloading the app) and the playMGM app, and we'll even take folks down to the sportsbook and have a dedicated window ready if needed for those initial deposits. We want everyone to easily be able to use this process while in Las Vegas.

We haven't forgotten about the First Weekend Las Vegas attendees as we will have a smaller welcome gathering on Thursday night and create a similar gathering on Friday night if needed. If there's demand for an NFFC-exclusive poker gathering that weekend we can work with the MGM to secure a few tables then as well. Again, look for more details on a separate thread.

This is the first time in 16 years that we're actually working with the hotel to provide benefits and events through them, rather than just securing and paying for space. It's a good arrangement with MGM Resorts and we look forward to more goodies through the years. They also realize that the days of standing in a long line to place a bet only before the start of a game are long gone. They want to make the experience of betting on football games while in Las Vegas easier and more accessible. I think we'll all use this new app while we are out there.

One of the requirements to playing in the poker tournament is that you have to be an MLife member and have the playMGM app downloaded. The good news is that you can do both of those things BEFORE you come to Las Vegas. Save yourself some time by doing that now if you can.

Then if you want to deposit funds into your account you need to do that initially at an MGM sportsbook. After you've done that once, you can use the app anywhere in an MGM Resort.

Here's the details on how you can become an MLife member AND sign up for the playMGM app before you get to Las Vegas:

playMGM Nevada Sports Mobile App – Sign Up Process

By law, signing up for a sports betting app in Nevada requires an in-person registration. This is obviously different from
New Jersey, where sports bettors can create an account, fund and begin wagering all without stepping foot in a casino.

There are two phases to signing up for MGM Resorts’ playMGM sports betting app:

1. If he or she does not already have one, the guest must sign up for an M life Rewards account (M life Rewards is
the loyalty card for all MGM Resorts properties)

2. The guest must download and sign up for playMGM mobile sports betting app

Both can be done in person at any MGM Resorts race and sports book, however the amount of time it takes to get set
up on the app while at the sports book can be reduced if a person already has an M life Rewards account.

Signing Up for M life Rewards
There are a few different ways in which a guest can sign up for an M life Rewards account. All of the below can be done
prior to visiting the race and sports book counter:

1. In person at the M life Rewards desk
2. Online at www.mliferewards.com (scroll down to “join today” button)
3. In person with the assistance of a GSR (Guest Service Representative).

Prior to signing up, guests can (and should) download the playMGM Nevada sports app on their device:
- APPLE USERS: Search for playMGM Nevada Sports in the Apple store. You’ll want to be sure the app is the
Nevada version and not New Jersey
- ANDROID USERS: Visit www.playMGM.com and select the “Nevada” page. The google play store does not allow
any type of real money gambling apps in their store, so you’ll have to download directly via the link on the
playMGM Nevada website.

This portion of the process must be completed in person at any MGM Resorts property race and sports book.
Unfortunately, due to NV law, there is no way to tackle this portion of signing up remotely.

1. Upon visiting the R&S, inform any one of the writers you’d like to sign up for the sports betting app
a. Only supervisors can sign guests up for the app, so the R&S writer will get a supervisor to assist

2. The supervisor will then ask and collect all information necessary to create a mobile sports account
a. Official government ID (they will take this and scan it into the system)
b. M life Rewards pin (if you don’t have it or don’t know it, they will assist with creating/resetting the pin)
c. Social security number (you don’t need your SS card but they are required to collect a SS#)
d. Signature on the “Mobile Wagering Account Registration” paper sheet (to be printed by the R&S
supervisor)

3. Once everything has been collected and input, you’ll be texted a pin number to log into your playMGM account.
This will prompt to be updated immediately upon the first attempted log in

4. Once the account has been set up, the player can deposit immediately with the supervisor with cash or casino
chips.
a. Funding via a third party payment processing service called Sightline Play+ is also an option from the
playMGM NV wallet (note it requires opening a separate Play+ account and comes with an ~3%
transaction fee).

I believe so. They will send me all of the instructions for the tournament shortly and I'll post here. This should be a ton of fun.

Again, email me if you want to secure a spot in this. I honestly don't know how many spots are available, but they did say 50-100 was workable. It should be a really, really busy night down in the poker room, so to have them hold multiple tables just for our crew at the Bellagio will be fantastic. I don't play poker, but I'm sneaking into the room to watch and drink for some of you guys!!

I know that New York drafters are wondering when we'll announce a similar poker tournament in the Big Apple. The truth of the matter is that we're not choosing one city over another. This is the first year for our promotional partnership with MGM Resorts and once New York legalizes sports betting I'm sure we'll be looking to work with MGM at one of their hotels.

But right now there isn't an MGM property inside of New York City that would work for our live drafts. I'm sure once New York passes legalized sports betting, that more options will become available. And when they do, we'll look at offering similar functions there if we're still working with MGM.

We'd love to do more things with our live NFFC drafters in each city to reward them for coming to each city. Again, this is just the start of this working relationship and hopefully more good things are to come in the following years.

Okay, the key to easily getting into the Poker Tournament and to get the $25 bonus with a $100 discount is to join MLife and download the playMGM.com app before you get to Las Vegas. That will save you at least 5 minutes when it's time to go to the sportsbook. Now you can do both of these at any MGM hotel or sportsbook, but you can only get the $25 bonus at the Bellagio Race & Sportsbook.

And to get this done easily and quickly have these steps in mind:

1. Be pre-registered for MLife and the playMGM.com app
2. Get in line at the sportsbook to activate your app (it's the far right window in the sportsbook)
3. Have your picture ID ready, know your social security number and have your deposit ready

If you do all of that, the manager at the Bellagio sportsbook will then type in all of your information into the computer and activate your playMGM app. That process alone will take 3-5 minutes. If you deposit $100 or more they will add $25 to your account (so just like that you have $125 on account).

Then you are done. I bring all of this up in advance is because the line can be long for the app process and having part of this done before you get there or if you do this during slow times down in the sportsbook will make this simple, easy and fast. Time is money and even for $25 we don't want you waiting very long. Like a Boy Scout: Be Prepared and you'll cruise right through and have the app on your phone. Thanks all.
