When we first introduced our NFFC Draft Champions National Championship it was a 14-team format. Then after a few years, we switched to the 12-team, 31-round format that we have today. And that has been a good decision as our 12-team format is our most popular game format in the NFFC and the NFFC Draft Champions National Championship will set a record this year with over 2,200 teams.

With that contest easily on a record pace, we felt it might be wise to revive the 14-team Draft Champions format in an individual league format. This Best Ball contest is very tough in this format since the position runs can hit hard and heavy. You can't afford to wait too long on the QB run or the Defense run or even the TE run in a 14-team format.

So with that in mind, we are introducing the NFFC $150 Classic Prep Best Ball Leagues.

These are private, 14-team, 31-round drafts in 2-hour and 4-hour formats. If demand is there, we can add Express leagues later in the drafting season. Cost of entry is $150 and we pay Top 3 finishers this way:

1st Place - $1,100
2nd Place - $450
3rd Place - $150

Same 10-man starting lineup, no FAAB, optimal scoring for 16 weeks. Most total points wins the league. Draft and be done.

I think our NFFC Classic owners will like this prep for our big 14-team signature event, but honestly it's a great challenge for anyone who loves the Best Ball format. I don't know of any other 14-team Best Ball format in the industry, so enjoy.

I'm excited to find out what the 35th round of a 14-teamer looks like and will have to join out of curiosity.

I figure at that point in the draft people will start drafting family members, pets, and maybe even Mitch Trubisky if things get really bad.

So is there an overall prize for 14 team DC or just the league prizes?

Okay, we've come to our senses in this one and will host these through 31 rounds. That's 434 players compared to 420 players in the 12-team DCs and is still deep enough per team. So with 3RR, 31 rounds makes the most sense. Enjoy all and good luck.
