Antonio Gibson Position Designation

Post by Wubrotha1 » Mon Sep 07, 2020 2:53 pm

Gibson is listed as RB on Washington's player list/roster and everywhere else except here where he is listed as WR. I understand he came out of college in that position, but if he is being listed as a RB officially by the team and will be playing in that position even in a hybrid role between RB and WR shouldn't he at least be designated as the RB the team is listing him as? OR listed as both? What are the plans with his designation at this point? I thought it would adjust here but it hasn't.

He will be WR all year in the NFFC, unfortunately. We designate positions in February when our national contests start and don't adjust or add positions after that. It wouldn't be fair to anyone who drafted in February, March, April or even May when we weren't sure he would be tried at RB when people after that would know he is RB eligible.

That's why we don't change designations. We need to keep a level playing field throughout the drafting season for everyone competing in national contests and everyone now has to figure out how valuable he is as a WR/Flex spot. Hope that helps.
