That's what we're doing here at the NFFC as well. We know that you might not have won the big prize in 2021 -- like my Packers -- but there might have been some league titles that were won and more to be won next year. So let's get 2022 started right here.
We have all of the contests planned for 2022 and you'll see those new contest pages shortly after the NFFC Post-Season concludes. Remember that we roll the site over in February after the Super Bowl and some items like draft boards, auction boards, FAAB results, lineup results, etc., disappear after we do that. Take screen shots or download what you need now because a lot of 2021 will disappear from your My Teams page once the new season begins. League standings and draft results will show up under My Historical Teams, but not much more than that.
So the big news for the NFFC in 2022 is that we are going to have TWO $250,000 grand prizes. The NFFC Primetime will feature a $250,000 grand prize in 2022 and the Rotowire Online Championship will feature a $250,000 grand prize. A QUARTER OF A MILLION DOLLARS will be won twice in 2022 and we couldn't be more excited.
We do have some changes coming in 2022, so here they are in the short version:
** NFFC Primetime will now feature a $1750 entry fee, up $50 from 2021. The majority of that will cover the increased grand prize as we are shooting for only 900 teams after finishing with 816 teams in 2021. We have increased second and third place league prizes slightly, but we pushed the grand prize up first and will increase secondary overall prizes once we top 900 teams next year or in future years. We will have an Early Bird Special for $100 per team through May 31st, so you have plenty of time to get Primetime teams below last year's full price. This is going to be a big contest, but not so big that you can't win your league title and then win the Championship Round against 225 or so teams.
** NFFC Classic will not feature an overall prize pool with a big grand prize this year. Instead, we are raising the entry fee to $2,000 and offering private leagues where first place will be $15,000 and we'll pay the Top 3 teams in each league ($5,000 for 2nd, $3,000 for 3rd). We will have an overall standings and reward the Classic champion with a FREE $2,000 entry in 2023 and they will join our 18 other Classic overall champions, but the overall prize pool is no longer for this contest. We will host live Classic leagues and Online Classic leagues in 2022.
** The Rotowire Online Championship will feature a $250,000 grand prize as we expect another record number of teams in 2022. No price change, no league prizes change, just more teams and a bigger grand prize.
** NFFC Auction Leagues will remain private and will have a $1,500 entry fee, up $100 from 2021. League prizes will increase.
** Cutline Championship will again have a $100,000 grand prize and we'll pay the Top 2 teams in each league again ($350 to league champ). Entry fee will again be $175 and we'll have special packages that will bring the per entry price to $150 or even lower.
** The NFFC Online Auction Championship will now have a $7,000 grand prize, up from $5,000 in 2021. We hit our max of 408 teams and 34 leagues in 2021, but we hope to reach 600 teams and 50 leagues in 2022. We are excited about this national contest and expect it to grow at a nice pace this year.
** Draft Champions National Championship again contains a $30,000 grand prize with the goal of topping 3,000 teams in 2022. NFFC Silver Bullet will return with a $35,000 grand prize and will be limited to 240 unique owners. The Football Challenge Roto and Points Championships will also return with the same grand prizes as they had in 2022.
No changes to the high-stakes private leagues as far as prizes or costs. And we will again host live events in Las Vegas and New York City. Can't wait to get next season going, but before then, good luck to everyone in the NFFC Post-Season Contests. Still a few very, very important games to go in 2021. Enjoy and thanks all. Can't wait for the 19th season of the NFFC to launch.
