WELCOME TO THE 2022 NFFC SEASON!!
This is our 19th season for the National Fantasy Football Championship, the longest-running high-stakes contest in the industry. And we think this will be our biggest and best season ever!! Thanks for joining us for 2022 drafts.
This year we are again offering 12-team leagues, using Third Round Reversal. However, NEW FOR THIS YEAR: The drafts are now 34 rounds instead of 35 rounds. We made that change so that the teams on both ends of the draft order started the rounds the same number of times. So plan accordingly and be ready for 408 players being drafted in each league this year.
These are Best Ball leagues over 17 weeks with no in-season FAAB. Once you are done with Draft Day, your work is done. It's a fun, easy format that allows you to concentrate all of your efforts on the draft. No free agent pickups. No set lineups. Nothing, but the draft and best ball scoring for 17 straight weeks.
This is the 13th year for the NFFC Draft Champions National Championship and we are expecting a record number of teams in 2022. The grand prize is again $30,000 for the second straight year as we are expecting more than 3,000 teams in 2022 for the first time. We again expect the NFL to run its season through 18 weeks with only one bye week per team, so we will not count scores in Week 18.
We will once again pay the Top 3 teams in each league, with $800 going to the league champion. The same amount of money will go toward the overall contest from every Draft Champions league, whether it's a $150 or $400 league.
Aaron Jones of Lumberton, New Jersey is the defending NFFC Draft Champions National champion as he won the $30,000 grand prize in 2021, defeating a record field of 2,964 teams. Congrats once again Aaron and best of luck defending your title in 2022.
Draft Champions leagues will again use Third Round Reversal (3RR). In case you don't know what 3RR is, we reverse third round and continue serpentine after that. So it's 1-12 in Round 1, 12-1 in Round 2, 12-1 again in Round 3 and then serpentine 1-12, 12-1 from Rounds 4 through 34. That really balances out the value for each draft pick and allows owners to win from any spot.
The Draft Champions 4-Hour, 2-Hour and 1-Hour leagues start 30 minutes after they fill, with draft spots being announced 15 minutes after the league fills. Please set your KDS preferences after you sign up. You can find those by clicking on your team link and then going to League, Home. Set your draft preferences and then look for your draft spot after the league has filled. Remember that you have 4 hours or 2 hours or 1 hour per pick through the first 20 rounds and the time is halved per pick during Rounds 21-34 for 4 hour and 2 hour leagues. One-hour DCs always remain at 1 hour per pick.
Thanks all and enjoy. Here's the current signup list for the next available league:
