The NFFC will offer one $75,000 cash bonus this year and it will involve the NFFC Primetime and the Rotowire Online Championship.
It won't be easy to win, but it's definitely possible to win. All you have to do is win the NFFC Primetime overall title AND the Rotowire Online Championship overall title. We know that many of you are entering both contests and you obviously are planning on WINNING both contests, so let's add a little incentive to your planning. How about winning another $75,000 cash bonus on top of the TWO $250,000 grand prizes?
That's right: Someone this year can win at least $575,000 by winning the NFFC Primetime overall title and the Rotowire Online Championship overall title. That doesn't even count the league prizes that you'd win enroute to winning these overall titles. But we will add another $75,000 bonus if anyone can accomplish this incredible feat.
Now we realize that nobody has been able to pull off this double-championship in the 12 years that we've been offering this cash bonus, but dozens of owners each year are in line for this bonus and it makes the Championship Rounds for both contests even more exciting. In fact, 64 different owners were in the hunt for both overall titles, so we know it's going to happen one day.
Why not this year? Yeah, let's see if one of you can pull it off this year.
We've seen it happen in the NFBC when Lindy Hinkelman won the Main Event and the debut Online Championship in 2009 and Chad Schroeder did it in 2015 when he won the NFBC Main Event and the NFBC Primetime. Both owners won $75,000 cash bonuses to go along with their overall title prizes and league prizes. Now it's time to get it done in football.
Nobody has done it in football yet, but the team of Jeff Dawson and Scott Kelly won the NFFC Classic and the Rotowire Online Championship in 2018. There was a Combined Standings bonus for those two contests, not a $75,000 cash bonus, but they proved that one team can win two national titles in the same year. Heck, Mike Santos also won two national titles in 2019, winning the NFFC Classic and the debut NFFC Silver Bullet. There wasn't a $75,000 cash bonus for those two contests, but again Mike showed that it can be done.
Okay, so now let's get someone to do it in the two national contests we're talking about here. Details for the $75,000 cash bonus below:
NFFC Primetime/Rotowire Online Championship Bonus
$75,000
This cash bonus is called "The Lindy" in the NFBC because Lindy Hinkelman of Greencreek, Idaho actually won this bonus the very first year we offered it (2009). Nobody has won this $75,000 cash bonus in football, but it's already been proven that it can be done as Lindy won $241,300 that year. It also happened again in baseball in 2015 as Chad Schroeder won both the NFBC Primetime and the Rotowire Online Championship. Chad took home the $80,000 grand prize in each contest and the $75,000 cash bonus enroute to $305,000 in winnings. The two contests had 1,704 participants between them. See, it can be done.
To win this $75,000 cash bonus, an NFFC owner has to win the NFFC Primetime overall title AND the Online Championship overall title. If someone pulls off that feat, the total prize winnings will be over $575,000 ($250,000 in the Online Championship, $250,000 in the Primetime, $75,000 cash bonus plus any league winnings). Only those owners entered in both events -- and one owner can have multiple teams in each event -- have a shot at this $75,000 cash bonus. Last year, 64 different owners had teams in both Championship Rounds for both contests and competed for the additional $75,000 cash bonus, with Billy Wasosky coming the closest by winning the Rotowire Online Championship overall title, but not securing the Primetime overall title.
Enjoy everyone. See, it pays to play in multiple events. For those who can win in multiple events, it could pay off in a BIG, BIG way. Lindy Hinkelman and Chad Schroeder won $75,000 bonuses in the NFBC, and Jeff and Scott -- along with Mike Santos -- proved that winning two national titles in football can be done as well. Let's make that happen again here in football. Good luck all and thanks for all of the entries in all of our contests.
