KDS Deadlines For 2022 NFFC Live Event Leagues

For a lot of people, this is common knowledge, but we like to post KDS deadlines for our big money live and online events every year. It's always best to be reminded about this, right?
Okay, in the NFFC we let you have a say in the draft spot you get on Draft Day. Depending on where you are pulled randomly by the computer after the league forms, you could have your choice of any spot or be left with the last available spot. It all depends on the random draw by the computer, but please set your KDS preferences right after you sign up and hopefully you get one of your preferred draft spots.
Just a reminder that as soon as you sign up for any NFFC league (other than the Cutline or the NFFC 25s and 50s), you'll find these draft preferences listed on your League Home page. Just click on your league link on My Teams (for example, GTD Auction) and then after that go to League in the green navigational bar and pull down to League Home. There you'll see a page where preferences are listed 1-12 (or 1-14 for the Classic). Just move the shields in the way that you want them to appear and the computer will save those. You can change your KDS preferences order as many times as you want before the deadline.
And what are the KDS deadlines? Well, here are two fast rules:
1. For any Primetime, Classic, Online Championship, Satellite, Super or any other NFFC league with Third Round Reversal, the draft spots are ANNOUNCED exactly five days to the hour of the scheduled draft. So if the draft is set for Wednesday, August 31st at 8 pm ET and the league is full at least five days in advance, the draft spots will be announced on Friday, August 26th at 8 pm ET. KDS locks just before draft picks are announced.
2. If the league isn't full five days in advance and it fills, let's say the day before, draft spots will be announced within an hour of the league being formed. It could be sooner than an hour (in the Online Championship it can be 10 minutes after the league forms), so always have your KDS preferences set after you sign up and look for draft spots shortly after the leagues form.
Those are the two general rules: KDS locks five days before a scheduled draft if the league fills in advance of that time. Or KDS locks shortly after the league fills if it's within five days of the draft date. ALWAYS SET YOUR KDS PREFERENCES AFTER SIGNING UP, and you can always adjust them later. It's on each individual owner to take the 2 minutes to go to League Home, set your KDS preferences and hit Save. You won't regret it.
Now the only exceptions to these rules are the NFFC Diamond Leagues, the Platinum League and possibly the Las Vegas Ultimate League. Here's those deadlines:
The Platinum League will be held on Saturday, September 10th at 6 pm PT/9 pm ET and we'll pick those draft spots right at the draft table at 5:50 pm PT. Players will pick baseballs out of a bin, sit down at the spots they select and we'll start on time. This is the only NFFC contest that we do this for.
The Friday, September 10th Diamond Leagues will pick their draft slots live in Las Vegas in my suite and on Zoom right after the Thursday Night Game. We'll start this at 9 pm PT and people can be live with me in Las Vegas or on Zoom, or just set their KDS preferences on the site. We'll do the 10 am league first and then the 7 pm league.
The Friday Las Vegas Ultimate League will also pick draft spots live on Thursday night in my suite in Las Vegas and on Zoom. However, we'll likely do this before 9 pm PT because some owners are in the 12-Team Kickoff Gridiron League and this always slows down the start of that league. I'll email the group on the start time, but it might be 8:45 pm PT even if the game isn't finished yet. Stay tuned for an email update.
