Glenn Schroter of Whitestone, New York went back-to-back in the prestigious NFFC New York 12-Team Super League as he again won the title and the $14,000 prize. Glenn also won the New York Super League title in pretty much the same fashion. This is the league that is always broadcast live on SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio and it was broadcast live again this year.
Glenn dominated the Championship Round and won the title by 99.24 points over Billy Wasosky, even though Glenn still had Joe Burrow and Gabe Davis going on Monday Night Football. Those two players scored 0 points each because the game was cancelled by the NFL four days later, but he didn't need any more points. Billy won $5,000 during the regular season for best h2h record and most points and he won another $5,000 for his runner-up finish. Glenn Lowy finished third to win $2,000 and Theo Gremminger finished fourth to win $500.
The Monday Night Game certainly would have determined the last three spots because Glenn Lowy and Theo still had players going in that game. In fact, Glenn had Josh Allen and the Bills' defense going, while Theo had Stefon Diggs and the Bengals' Kicker going. We'll never know how that would have played out because the NFL decided to cancel the game.
Glenn's King of Queens team entered the Championship Round second in points, but it quickly moved into the lead after it scored 188.10 points in Week 15. It never left that spot as it scored 147.65 in Week 16 and 122.70 in Week 17. King of Queens was led in Week 17 by Christian McCaffrey with 31.30 points, A.J. Brown with 19.70, Seattle's D with 18 and San Francisco's Kicker with 14.30.
Great job everyone and congrats to the prize winners. We will do this again on September 1st at Dave & Busters in New York City and hope to have SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio broadcasting the draft again. See you there.
