Doug Gard of Noblesville, Indiana won the 2022 NFFC August 31st 12-Team Super Online League and the $16,500 prize. Doug's team won the points race during the regular season and that $2,500 league prize and he won the $14,500 prize and the title by also having the most points in the Championship Round.
This is one league where the cancellation of the Monday Night Game between the Buffalo Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals really played a factor in the final standings. Doug's team finished 44.44 points ahead of Patrick Gallagher and was dominant all year long, but Patrick still had Ja'Marr Chase going and the two other teams behind him also had players going that night. Chad Schroeder had Stefon Diggs and the Bengals' Kicker going yet, while Doug Romanowski had Joe Burrow, Hayden Hurst and Joe Mixon still going. We'll never know how this league would have played out, but there were still a lot of players going that night in this league.
Patrick won $5,000 for his runner-up finish, while Chad won $2,000. Doug Romanowski won $2,500 during the regular season for best h2h record. Michael Edelman won the Consolation Round and $500.
Doug Gard entered the Championship Round with the most points and never left that top spot. His team scored 168 points in Week 15, 130.10 in Week 16 and 129.50 in Week 17. Well done Doug and congrats.
Doug's King Bob team was led in Week 17 by Patrick Mahomes' 34.80 points, followed by Austin Ekeler 32.10, Mark Andrews 19.0 and James Connor 14.0. Great job everyone and congrats to all of the prize winners.
