Mark Fierer Wins 2022 NFFC 12-Team Super League & $14,000

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Thu Jan 12, 2023 3:36 pm

Mark Fierer of Fort Worth, Texas won the 2022 NFFC August 27th 12-Team Super Online League title and that $14,000 prize. Mark's team scored 191 points in Week 17 to jump two spots and earn his first ever NFFC Super League title.

This was another league where the cancellation of the Monday Night Game between the Bills and Bengals played a factor in the final standings. Mark finished 12.48 points ahead of Bill Carson for the title and both teams had no players in the Monday Night Game. But Michael Edelman, who won $5,000 during the regular season for best h2h record and most points, finished 34.33 points out of the top spot and he still had Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs going. He certainly had a good shot at sweeping the top prizes in this league if that game had been completed, but the NFL cancelled that game three days later and neither player got any stats.

Mike won a total of $7,000 in this league with his third place finish, while Bill Carson won $5,000 for his runner-up finish. Chad Schroeder won $500 for winning the Consolation Round.

Mark's team entered the Championship Round in second place and maintained that spot when he scored 161.30 points in Week 15. He then fell to third place after scoring 127.30 points in Week 16, but his 191 points in Week 17 vaulted him into the top spot where he barely hung on.

The players who led Mark to the title in Week 17 were Patrick Mahomes (34.80 points), Davante Adams (34.30), Dalton Schultz (24.60) and Chris Godwin (22.0). Great job Mark and congrats to all of the money winners.
