Las Vegas Thursday Night Viewing Party At Park MGM
Posted: Mon Jul 17, 2023 1:10 pm
Okay folks, I'm trying to finalize some plans for the Second Weekend in Las Vegas at Park MGM. I have a chance to reserve a pretty cool spot for the Thursday Night Viewing Party, but I need your feedback first.
As most of you know, for the past decade or so we've been able to get the Executive Penthouse Parlor Suite at the Bellagio, and in fact last year we had two of those beautiful suites. We were able to host the 14-Team Kickoff Gridiron League in that suite before the Thursday Night Game and then we hosted the 12-Team Kickoff Gridiron League after the game in the same suite. It was perfect for that day all the way around.
But all of the Bellagio Executive Penthouse suites were reserved almost a year ago as there's a huge car dealership convention there that weekend. I had no chance of reserving those suites, and unfortunately Park MGM doesn't have any suites like that, so now we have to get creative.
The Wednesday night Primetime leagues will be held in the Park MGM Convention Center, while all Thursday events will also be held in the Convention Center, including both NFFC Kickoff Gridiron leagues.
But I have a chance to reserve a large part of the bar within the Park MGM sportsbook if demand is there. I can create a tab for up to 50 guests and we can have food and drink before and during the game. I've requested the space for between 4:30 and 8:30 pm PT for up to 50 guests. If you're familiar with that bar, it is a nice big bar with TVs everywhere and the sportsbook is just a few feet outside the front door. We can eat, drink, get merry and even gamble during the game.
We didn't charge anyone to watch the Thursday Night Game in the Bellagio suites and we provided the food and drink, but I have limited space in the sportsbook and need to qualify how many people can join us in the limited space that we have. If you wanted to join us, I was thinking of a $75 charge and cut it off with the first 50 people who sign up. Again, this is food and drink on our tab and we'll pick up the tab at the end of the game. It feels like a fair price for four hours of camaraderie, food, drinks and smack talking with fellow drafters.
We will probably put a link on Registration once we've signed the contract and you can just sign up like you're entering an NFFC contest. Give us a bit to create that and we'll post the link here shortly. Thanks.
If you are interested in attending and want to be one of the first 50 guests to get in, please email me at [email protected] and I'll keep the list here. We can take care of payment later, but I'm testing the interest today. I think this is going to be a great setting, so let me know if you'd like to join us. Thanks all and see you there.
