SOLD OUT: Saturday 1 pm ET NY Primetime

Post by Tom Kessenich » Mon Aug 07, 2023 9:58 am

Hey folks, opening weekend of Live Events will be before you know it and that means Year 20 for New York. Darik and I are looking forward to hosting everyone once again at Dave & Busters and we're going to have two great days of drafts and auctions. But we still have a little work to do before we kick things off in grand fashion.

We want to make our 20th Anniversary Season in New York even more special than ever and to do that we're going to need your help. We still have some leagues to fill so I want to use this thread to keep everyone updated on what's still available as we move closer to the big weekend and let you know our plans for the two days of events.

First off, we're all sold out on Friday except for the 5 pm ET Primetime. We've always sold that league out. In fact, we used to get two Friday Primetimes annually for years so I really want us to get a full league with 12 participants in New York. That's the goal.

On Saturday we have open Primetime times at 1 pm ET and 4 pm ET but realistically we're probably only going to get an extra league at 1 pm. So if you're looking to get into a Primetime that day, that's the time I'd recommend signing up for. Again, the goal is to get 12 live participants in New York which would give us two full leagues. Once we get that, we'd mix the 24 signups into two leagues and create the draft spots from there. On Saturday night we still have spots available for the Silver Bullet at 7 pm ET. We've never gotten 12 signups in NY for that league and realistically that's unlikely to occur this year but we'll shoot for that, see how many we can get live and go from there.

So that's the plan. Let's keep the signups coming and make our 20th year in New York a great one. Sound good to everyone? It sounds great to me. :) You can sign up on the site or contact me at [email protected] and I'll get you all set up.

Here's a look at the spots available for each open league and the current signup list as well:

Re: What's Left In New York Sept. 1-2?

Post by Tom Kessenich » Tue Aug 15, 2023 10:13 am

We're just over two weeks away from the Live Events in New York. It's going to be a great weekend of fun, but we still have some work to do to sell out our three remaining leagues.

We have one league left on Saturday and that's the 5 pm ET Primetime. There are 8 spots left for that league right now. This is a league that has always sold out in NY so I'd certainly like to get eight more live players and close it out.

On Saturday, we have two available leagues - the second 1 pm ET Primetime league and the 7 pm ET Silver Bullet. The Primetime has 7 spots left and the Bullet has 6. As I said before, getting 12 players in NY for the Bullet has always been tough so we'd like to get as many as possible.

That's it for available leagues. If you're interested sign up on the site or contact me and I'll get you all set up.

All right gang, in two weeks Darik and I will be in New York getting to host our Live Events. We're still taking signups for three remaining leagues but it's time to have a realistic talk about them.

I'd really hoped we'd get 12 live players in NY for the Friday 5 pm ET Primetime since we've always done that in the past but we're way short of that and honestly barring an unforeseen late surge this is going to a combined NY/Online league. I don't see any way around it at this point. So if you're looking to get into that combined league but you're not in NY, sign up Online as we'll almost certainly need Online signups to help us fill this league.

On Saturday, we have two leagues with openings - the 1 pm ET second Primetime and the 7 pm ET Silver Bullet. Just like Friday we're almost certainly gonna be combining those leagues with Online players. So anyone looking to play Online at those times should sign up because we'll probably need you.

I wanted to give everyone a heads up where we're at because Live Events will be here real soon. We obviously want to get as many more live players to sign up as possible so let's keep moving with that goal. If you're interested sign up on the site or contact me and I'll get you set up. But as of today it's looking like our three remaining leagues will be combined with Online players.

Sound good? Let's hope for more signups and then Darik and I will see you in two weeks. :)

All right gang, it's time to start wrapping things up for NY with everything happening in a little over a week. As I said with my last post while I was hoping we were going to get full leagues with everything that wasn't looking like a realistic possibility. So we are looking at combined NY/Online leagues for our three remaining options. Those are:

Friday 5 pm ET Primetime
Saturday 1 pm ET Primetime League 2
Saturday 7 pm ET Silver Bullet

We're still taking signups for all three so anyone wanting to draft Live gets first priority in all three leagues. But if you are interested in one or more of those leagues and can draft Online, sign up on the site or contact me and I'll get you set up. First one we're looking at is the Friday night Primetime but all three are available. Here's the current lineup for Friday night:

NFFC PRIMETIME
NEW YORK, Dave & Busters
Friday, September 1, 5 pm ET

1. Theo Gremminger
2. Nelson Sousa
3. JP
4. Michael Edelman
5. Ray Chung
6. Danny Mueller (O)
