KDS Deadlines For 2023 NFFC Live Event Leagues

The Kentucky Derby System (KDS) is very important in the NFFC because we also use Third Round Reversal in most leagues. KDS allows you to rank your draft preferences and once you are randomly picked by the computer you always get your highest available draft preference.

We recommend that you always set your KDS preferences after you sign up for a league and you can always tweak your KDS order at any time. But set your KDS rankings right away and tweak them later.

Now for the NFFC Primetime, Classic and other live events, we run the draft spots process exactly five days before the scheduled draft date on the hour of the draft time. So if you are drafting on Saturday, September 2nd at 10 am PT in Las Vegas, you will see your draft spots on Monday, August 29th at 10 am PT. You can always tweak your KDS preferences right up until that time.

Now draft spots are selected five days before the scheduled draft date as long as that league is full. If a league isn't full within five days and the hour of that scheduled draft, then the draft order will run within the hour after the league fills. So if you are scheduled in the Primetime Online tomorrow and it's still not full, then expect the draft order shortly after the league fills. Have your KDS preferences ranked and ready to go because the process will run shortly after the league is created.

This is the case for the Rotowire Online Championship, Satellite Leagues, Gridiron Leagues and all leagues that use KDS/3RR. If the leagues are full well in advance of the draft date, then they will run five days to the hour of the scheduled draft. Once within that time frame, they run shortly after the league is full and created.

Only four leagues will have draft spots run after the Thursday Night Game:

NFFC Diamond Leagues - both leagues will have draft spots picked live at Park MGM at 9 pm PT on Thursday using baseballs
NFFC 12-Team Las Vegas Ultimate League - also live at Park MGM/Zoom at 9 pm PT on Thursday using baseballs
NFFC Platinum League - draft spots will be picked right before the Saturday, Sept. 9th, 6 pm PT start time using baseballs
