43 Owners Have Won NFFC Primetime League Titles After Week 14

It was a wild and crazy end to the 2023 NFFC Primetime's regular season, capped off with the Miami Dolphins losing at home in dramatic fashion to the Tennessee Titans. That crazy week also upended a lot of league races as we had several top teams lose their final h2h matchups and thus fall out of the lead in the h2h races.

Two weeks ago, it looked like we might have the most h2h league champions also finish as league points leaders, but that got upended in Week 14. At the end of the NFFC Primetime's regular season, only 43 of 90 leagues (48%) finished as h2h and points leaders through Week 14. That means we have 43 leagues that have already crowned their league league champion, with 47 leagues needing a league playoff to determine their league champion.

The good news is that 43 owners have already earned the $7,000 league prize. Congrats to all of you. They include Mike Santos (2), Mike Kuzma, Peter Overzet, Rogert Fagan, Jeremy Jurewicz, Chad Schroeder (4), David Feinberg, Randy Mechels (2), Danny Mueller (2), Robert Delaney, Kyle Brinkmann, Chris Corcoran, Russell Crews, Steve Elbaum, Joey Brown, Gary Allen, Nelson Sousa, Larry DeLuca, Frank Musso, Henry Muto, Eric Karlovic, Philip McDonald, Robert Rose, Thomas Libretti, Marvin Correia, Joe Berg, Peter Berall, Theo Gremminger, Duke Viveros, Chris Eibl, Kyle Hillesheim, Vincent Staffilino (2), Michael Zucca, Brian Harwood and Matthew Shepherd (2). As you can see above, Chad Schroeder has already won four Primetime league titles, while Mike Santos, Randy Mechels, Danny Mueller, Vincent Staffilino and Matt Shepherd have each won two Primetime league titles.

This is our lowest number of teams that have won the league title after Week 14 in a long time. Usually it's in the 55% range and last week 48 of 90 teams had best record and most points in their leagues. Five teams obviously lost in Week 14 and dropped out of the h2h lead. The 14-week regular season sure does make it tougher to win both ends of the league prize, that's for sure. Good luck to everyone going forward.

Here's the crazy numbers from the first 14 weeks of the 2023 NFFC Primetime season:

* 47 leagues still have the Primetime league title up for grabs
* 29 leagues finished in h2h ties for first place
* one league has 5 teams tied for 1st place, while one other league has 4 teams tied for first place. Twenty leagues have two teams tied with same h2h records and seven other leagues finished with three teams tied with the same h2h records.
* 43 leagues finished Week 14 with one team having best h2h record and most points. Twenty-three other leagues had the h2h champion second in points. Other h2h winners and where they finished in points: 3rd (9 teams), 4th (5 teams), 5th (5 teams), 7th (2 teams), 8th (1 team), 9th (1 team) and 10th (1 team). I don't remember having three h2h champions finish 8th, 9th and 10th in points before 2023. Amazing.

The 43 league champions mentioned above have already won the $7,000 league prize. The two teams that split the h2h and the total points leads each won $3,400 and they will now compete in Weeks 15 to 17 for most total points, with that team winning the final $3.600 league prize and the league title. Good luck to everyone in those matchups during these next three weeks.

The Top 3 teams in each league have now advanced to the Championship Round for a shot at the $250,000 grand prize. They will take their weekly scoring average from Weeks 1-14 and will add their scores from Weeks 15, 16 and 17 to that. The team with the most points after Week 17 wins the $250,000 grand prize. The NFFC Classic Championship had six leagues and 84 teams competing this year and after Week 14 of the regular season four of the six leagues already have crowned champions. That's right, in four of the six NFFC Classic leagues, one owner has the best h2h record and the most points.

Congrats to those owners who have already won the $16,000 league prize. They include: Michael Bell, Aaron Smith, Dave Cushard and Matthew Shepherd. Great job guys and now best of luck in the overall Championship Round as we will crown just one winner: The national champion with a FREE 2024 NFFC Classic entry. We have had 19 different overall Classic champions in 19 years, so let's see if that trend continues this year.

Two Classic leagues have different h2h and points leaders, so each of those teams just won $5,000 and they will be competing for total points in Weeks 15-17 for the remaining $11,000 league prize and the league title. Good luck guys.
