Mark Fierer Wins 2023 NFFC Platinum Title & $120,000

During his first season in the NFFC Platinum League, Mark Fierer of Fort Worth, Texas went from the 4th seed to the title in the Championship Round as he won the $120,000 grand prize. Mark first joined the NFFC in 2020 and in four short years he has won a title in our most prestigious high-stakes private league.

Mark finished fourth during the regular season and made the Championship Round by just 12.6 points. Larry Schechter dominated the regular season as he won $40,000 for best h2h record (10-4) and most points (2,063.10). But Mark quickly jumped to the top of the Championship Round standings when his team scored 142.75 points in Week 15 and he remained on top after scoring 162.85 points in Week 16 and 154.25 points in Week 17. Congrats on the title Mark as it was well deserved.

Mark's FIERER team finished 39.88 points ahead of Nelson Sousa and 54.88 points ahead of Schechter. Nelson won $50,000 for his runner-up finish and Larry won another $16,000 for his third place finish, giving him a total of $56,000 in earnings from this league. Chad Schroeder won the Consolation Round with 578.51 points to win $4,000.

Leading the way in Week 17 for Team FIERER were Breece Hall with 27.60 points, George Pickens with 20.10 points and Patrick Mahomes with 17.45 points. Hall getting 43.10 points in Week 16 and Miami's Kicker scoring 23.80 points that same week helped Mark's team build a big cushion heading into the final week of action.

Mark drafted from the third spot in this league, which was the final live event of the season in Las Vegas. While most of the participants were online/Zoom, Mark started this team with Tyreek Hill, Patrick Mahomes and Chris Godwin.

Mark Fierer becomes our sixth different team owner to win the Platinum League since it was started nine years ago.
