Rob Aspinall of Houston, Texas won the 2023 NFFC Diamond League that was held in Las Vegas on Friday, September 8th at 7 pm PT and the $60,000 league prize. Rob has played in many of our high-stakes private leagues since 2019 and this is his first Diamond League title. Congrats Rob.
Rob entered the Championship Round as the two seed, having finished second in points through Week 14. Larry Schechter won $10,000 for best h2h record (10-4), while Nelson Sousa won $10,000 for most points (2,100.75). Rob finished 73.70 points behind Larry at 2,037.05 points. But Rob's CanAm Connection team jumped into the lead after Week 15 as it scored 174.80 points and never left the top spot again. CanAm Connection scored 142.75 points in Week 16 and then closed out the title by scoring 147.85 points in Week 17. Rob drafted from the 4th spot in this late evening Diamond League and he started with McCaffrey, DeVonta Smith and DeAndre Hopkins.
