Dan Satinoff of Alexandria, Virginia won his second NFFC New York 12-Team Super League title and the $14,000 prize with a comeback win in the Championship Round. Dan entered the Championship Round in fourth place, but a 180+ point week in Week 16 vaulted him to the title as he finished just 3.98 points ahead of Chris Vaccaro. Dan previously won this prestigious title in 2019.
This draft was broadcast live on SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio, so it gives this league a little extra exposure. Two-time defending champion Glenn Schroter won $2,500 for the most points (2,031.90) through the regular season, while Chris Vaccaro earned $2,500 for best h2h record (12-2). Dan finished fourth in points and just made the Championship Round by 13.95 points.
His SlackerDan team moved into third place after it scored 132.80 points in Week 15 before taking the lead in Week 16 with 180.40 points. SlackerDan secured the title in Week 17 with 127.25 points, just enough to finish ahead of Chris. Theo Gremminger finished third to earn $2,000 and Glenn Schroter finished fourth to win $500.
Dan drafted from the 8th spot and he started the draft with A.J. Brown, Tony Pollard and Amari Cooper. But it was a few good Free Agent pickups that also made the difference down the stretch, including a pickup of Joe Flacco!!
Dan was led in Week 17 by Brandon Aiyuk's 24.40 points and 21.55 points by Derek Carr, but it was the Week 16 efforts from Amari Cooper (51.50), Joe Flacco (34.50) and Atlanta's Kicker (20.30) that sealed the deal. Well done Dan and congrats.
Great job everyone and congrats to the prize winners. We will do this again on August 30th at Dave & Busters in New York City and hope to have SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio broadcasting the draft again. See you there.
