Joe Lostrangio of Langhorne, Pennsylvania won the September 5th NFFC 12-Team Super Online League title and the $14,000 prize as he edged Peter Overzet by just 3.25 points for the title. This comes one year after Joe won the NFFC Silver Bullet overall title, so not a bad back-to-back seasons. Congrats Joe.

It wasn't an easy road to the Super League title for Joe as his Savage Slime Mob team finished third in the regular season in points and was 8-6 in h2h record. Overzet won $5,000 during the regular season for best h2h record (9-5) and most points (2,060.30), finishing 93.2 points ahead of Lostrangio. Peter still had the lead through Week 16, but his team scored 128.40 points in Week 17, while Joe's team scored 147.05 points to leapfrog him into first place.

Savage Slime Mob scored 129.40 points in Week 15, 181.10 points in Week 16 and then 147.05 points to finish with 598.06 points. Peter finished with 594.81 points to win another $5,000 for his runner-up finish, while Tim Flynn finished third and won $2,000. Brett Giglio won the Consolation Round with 586.49 points to win $500.

Joe's championship team was led in Week 17 by Breece Hall with 27.10 points, Houston's Defense with 22 points and Aman-Ra St. Brown with 22.10 points. Hall, Brown and Matthew Stafford combined for 99.70 points in Week 16 to get his team within striking distance for Week 17.

Joe had the 7th pick in this draft and he started with Amon-Ra St. Brown, Tony Pollard and Keenan Allen. Breece Hall in the fourth round turned out to be one of his best early picks and helped him win this title.

This is Joe's first NFFC Super League title and it was the only Super League he was in during 2023. Congrats Joe and congrats to all of the prize winners.
