NFFC Las Vegas Returns To Park MGM For 2024 - Both Weeks
Posted: Tue Apr 09, 2024 2:53 pm
We are happy to report that the 21st annual NFFC Live Events in Las Vegas will take place at Park MGM over two weekends. We will host Live Events Friday-Saturday, August 30th and 31st, and then host some more Live Events there from Wednesday, September 4th through Saturday, September 7th.
All of the First Weekend Live Events will be held in Kensington Ballrooms 1, 2 and 3 in the Park MGM Convention Center. Those ballrooms are located on the First Floor.
All of the Second Weekend Live Events will be held in the Griffith Ballrooms (1 through 6) in the Park MGM Convention Center. Those ballrooms are located on the Second Floor.
If you are staying at Park MGM, the Guest elevators take you right to the 2nd floor and it's a short walk to the Griffith Ballrooms. All of the Griffith Ballrooms have airwalls for the private auctions and drafts, but all six ballrooms will open up for the Saturday, 10 am PT Primetime leagues and we expect to fill all six leagues. We'll welcome all of our past NFFC National Champions and Hall of Famers before kicking off the Primetime promptly at 10 am PT. It will be a great sight to have all 6 Primetime leagues in one open ballroom.
The schedule for the First Weekend is set and ready to go. You can see the Schedule of Events here:

The Second Weekend will start with Primetime leagues on Wednesday, September 4th starting at 7 pm PT. Last year we filled 3 Primetime leagues for that kickoff special and I think we can fill at least that many again this year. The Thursday and Saturday schedules are set right now, but we are still tentative on the schedule for Friday, September 6th.
Why? Because of course the NFL had to schedule a Friday Night Game now in Brazil and it's likely to feature the Philadelphia Eagles and possibly the Green Bay Packers. We don't know what time that game is going to start, but we aren't going to cancel everything for that one game. Depending on the start time from Brazil, it could affect our 4 pm PT schedule and possibly push our 7 pm PT schedule back an hour. We'll make final determinations once the NFL announces the start time of this game, but whatever we decide will likely affect every Friday Live Event going forward because it's obvious that the NFL is going to have a Thursday Night Game AND a Friday Night Game on Opening Weekend every year from here on out.
Of course they will.
We will be having a Thursday Night Viewing Party in the Park MGM sportsbook on September 5th. Drinks and some appetizers from 4:30 to 8:30 pm PT for $100 per person. We have room for 60 people in our area of the sportsbook, so first 60 to sign up get in. Here's the signup link:

We are NOT having a Friday Night Viewing Party. I get that many people will want to watch that game, but we had 11 live events last year on Friday starting at 4 and 7 pm PT, so we'll likely schedule some drafts and auctions at those times and see who is willing to participate, while watching the game on their phones/online. From our standpoint, it just seems odd to shut down two of four nights in Las Vegas to watch 2 games when the goal is to draft your teams for the rest of the season. Again, we'll adjust the schedule once we know the start time of the Brazil game and adjust for the private high-dollar leagues, but hopefully enough people will still want to compete on Friday night.
We do have a room block at Park MGM and the hotel has lowered the rates each night this week. Check them out here:

The Las Vegas Raiders have had a Week 1 road game for each of the last three years, so it's quite possible that they host a home game in Week 1 this year. If that happens, hotel rates on that end of the Strip are sure to go up. Don't be afraid to get your hotel rooms secured before that happens and our limited room block is good through August 15th as long as our rooms are available. Good luck and we'll see you at Park MGM.
