2024 NFL Opener: Ravens vs. Chiefs is Now Here!!

The countdown to the start of our 21st anniversary season in the NFL begins today, as does the countdown to the start of the 2024 NFL season. The defending world champion Kansas City Chiefs will host the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday Night Football on September 5th and we can't wait for it to begin.
That will be a "free look" game for NFFC owners as everyone will know the results of that game before they set their starting lineups on Sunday, September 8th. And this year we will have two "free look" games as the NFL has scheduled a Friday Night Game in Brazil between the Green Bay Packers and the Philadelphia Eagles. Just like the Thursday Night Game, all NFFC owners will know the results of that Friday Night Game before they set their starting lineups on Sunday at 1 pm ET.
Expect that Thursday-Friday opener schedule to remain as is going forward in the NFL. They see a new revenue stream and you know the NFL will never walk away from it. We're okay with it, it's just another twist to the fantasy football season.
So let's get started with this upcoming fantasy football season. Yes, this is our 21st season of the National Fantasy Football Championship and it's going to be our biggest and best ever. We can't wait to get the 2024 NFL season started, which is why we've once again started this countdown.
This thread will be a countdown to that Thursday Night game, letting you know how close we are getting to the season opener. So let's get counting!!! Nobody has ever worn No. 100 in the NFL, so with May 28th being 100 days away from the Thursday Night NFL Opener, I'm going to lead off with Oakland's Jim Otto, the most famous player to wear double-zero. That's as close to 100 as we'll get, so let's kick it off this way. Plus, he recently passed away and it's a good way to honor him for all he gave to the game. RIP Jim Otto.
I'll do my best to count down every day with a former or current NFL player image and you can only get your favorite player by bribing me with Corona's in Las Vegas. I'll mix in old-school players with current players, but will try my best to show today's top players. Enjoy and drop me a note on any favorite suggestions if you have them.
Here we go, the countdown to the 2024 NFL season opener from May 28th to Sept. 5th:
