1 SPOT LEFT: New York Friday Aug. 30th 5 pm ET Primetime

Hey everyone, now that we're into June I thought it would be a good time to start looking ahead to New York and make firmer plans for the event there in 2024. For those who may not know we had to shut down New York in the NFBC this year due to a lack of interest and for full transparency we're on shaky ground for football as well.
As I told many of our long-time players last year, we simply cannot afford to return to NY - even at Dave & Busters - with the numbers we're currently getting in terms of participation. It's simple math even for someone like me who's seriously mathematically challenged.
We need to average at least four events per day each of the two days we're there to make ends meet.
We used to top Vegas in terms of the number of attendees but those days obviously are long gone. But even just a few years ago we were locking in 5-7 Primetimes for the weekend. We used to get two Friday night 5 pm ET Primetimes without batting an eye. Now we struggle to get a single one. The same thing happened in the NFBC. People didn't leave our contest. They just stopped coming to New York.
The games are good. The prizes are good. We know that. We can see it with our signups. We're growing every year. But if New York stops growing ... well you can do the math and you'll come to the same conclusion we will just as as easily as we can.
I'm not trying to be a downer with this post. I just want everyone to be aware of the situation so there are no surprises. The good news - and YES there is good news - is when I return to NY at the end of August I will run another great event just like I have every year since 2004 and we have PLENTY of fantastic drafts and auctions available that you all can join.
I'll be on my own this year so it'll be just like old times. So let's make this two days of fun at Dave & Busters like we've never had before. Below is the list of events on the NY schedule with spots currently available. We've added a Classic for Saturday morning at 11 am so for those of you looking for a Classic that first weekend this is a great league to join that day. You can sign up on the site for any of these leagues or if you'd like a spot contact me ([email protected]/715 254-5559) and I'll get your spot reserved. Remember no charges are being run until Aug. 1.
We don't have to leave NY so let's keep the Big Apple alive for football and continue to be the ONLY high-stakes contest in the industry that runs events in multiple cities. Does that sound like a good plan to you? It sure does to me.
