One of the most unique contests we have in the NFFC is the Guillotine leagues. This is a contest where one team is "chopped" every week and that team's entire roster is then put back into the league's Free Agent pool. We "chop" or eliminate one team every week from Week 1 through Week 13, leaving us with four teams battling for the prize money in Weeks 14-17.

There's nothing else like this format in the industry. You could have one week of fun or you could survive 13 "chops" and make it to the Championship Round of your league. It's pretty damn cool.

Right now we have 4-Hour and 2-Hour leagues at price points of $50, $100, $200 and $400. These are 17-team leagues and we draft 16 players per team. We don't need a deep bench in this format because every week there are stars being loaded into your league's Free Agent pool with the elimination of one team per week. Managing your FAAB money is the key in this format because you want to improve your team with the players that are added to the FAAB pool each week, but you need enough FAAB money to manage bye weeks and injuries through the first 13 weeks of the season. Avoiding one bad week that results in a "chop" is the key.
