Time To Finalize Draft Champions Leagues
Posted: Wed Aug 18, 2010 8:19 am
We have a bit of a mess when it comes to the debut NFFC Draft Champions Championship and it's time to make a decision on this very soon. I look forward to naming a national champion in this format, but in order to do that we need to look at each city quickly and determine how we're going to piece this puzzle together.
Right now Las Vegas is the only city one full league, with an outside shot at a second league. But there are some owners who want to do a $1300 DC with expanded league prizes and I'm all in favor of that. But as you can suspect, it might cause more problems in all four cities, which is my concern.
So it's time to solve this problem and move on. Below is a list of the current signups in each city. We jumped out early with 50+ signups for this by July 1, but since then we've seen some people move to other cities and some even jump out of this event and into other NFFC events. Now we are struggling to fill four combined leagues when I thought we'd have 5 or 6.
So I'll post the list of signups here and if anyone wants to jump into this event they need to do so very soon. This is not an easy one to solve. And if the interest in the $1300 DC is strong by Friday, I'll piece it all together and make it happen. I want to keep the national contest in place, but the numbers need to improve or otherwise we're just looking at a couple of combined local leagues like we had before. Let's get this resolved and make it happen.
Okay, who wants to join the fun? And can we combine cities after getting more signups to make this work with the time zones? We'll find out shortly, I promise.
Here's the current signup list:
