Week 1 Preseason Thoughts

Post by Tom Kessenich » Fri Aug 14, 2009 3:48 pm

Feel free to post any thoughts and comments you have from the preseason games you're watching this week. Here are some of mine so far:

Tom Brady's back. Nuff said.

Rashard Mendenhall did nothing to make Willie Parker owners sweat. The biggest concern about Parker is durability. But if Mendenhall continues to underwhelm and Parker can't shake the injury bug, keep an eye on Mewelde Moore.

Darren McFadden looks REAL good.

Sage Rosenfels looks like the upgrade over Tarvaris Jackson I expected him to be. But the Vikes better hope Bernard Berrian's hammy injury isn't serious.

Donald Brown looked real good. Joseph Addai looked like ... well ... Joseph Addai.

Maybe I should re-think my position on Chad Johnson.

Kyle Orton is in regular season form with two picks on two drives.

I'm not too worried about the picks as Orton is still learning a complex playbook that McDaniels has put in place. What I am impressed about is how awesome that offense could be, with all those different formations and talent that Denver will unveil in week 1.
Winning isn't everything, but the will to win is.

I think that first snap is going to be very exciting and then when Orton fires the first of several INTs, it's going to all go up in smoke. ;)

Tom,

He doesn't play for the Pack's arch nemesis any longer, you can love him again.

At least Brandon isn't in jail, now he can be this generations version of TO. ;)

Oh yeah, I'm a Dolphin fan, like i have anything to talk about. :/

Leinart looked pretty sharp. I think that fact bumps up the Cards O players evern further. I was worried about their production should Warner go down. Maybe the party boy has finally decided to put some offseason work in.
