Why Note Have Backups?

If a QB is a gametime decision and the gametime decision is that he can't play, does an NFL team have to play without a QB? Of course not. So why should a fantasy team have to.
What would be so bad about being able to designate a single backup for each position -- 1QB, 1 RB, 1 WR, 1 Flex, 1 K that is used in the event that a player does not play a single down in a given week's games? Probably wouldn't need a backup Defense.
Whenever I mention this idea, people always seem to hate it, so don't worry, you won't hurt my feelings.

Figures you'd like it, snake. You have up until five minutes before the first game of the week to set your lineup. If you don't know who you're going to play by then, you're in real trouble.

The truth is, I actually like the Team QB concept as well (the most hated rule in fantasy sports). I always seem to be the guy who has a QB pull a hamstring on the opening drive of a game.

We've had the Team QB in our local league, Ico, since day one just for that reason!!

Tamu -- you and I are living the American dream. Two guys from opposite sides of the political fence finding our common ground with fantasy football!

That's why the real sports people are calling football America's pasttime. And why sane people don't talk politics or religion.
