I'm excited to announce that our host site for the Chicago NFFC live events on Sept. 3-4 will be the Trackside at Arlington Park. Trackside is the OTB area opposite the grandstand and is actually just off the grounds. It has its own parking area and all parking will be free for NFFC participants. We are in the 6,500 square foot ballroom in Trackside for Friday and Saturday and will be surrounded by TVs, sports bars, good food and horse racing!! :D

It's a great, great setup and food and beverages will be served after the completion of all drafts/auctions and we'll even have an outside patio area to use if you want to feel the horses coming around the backstretch. We'll put the draft boards near the food after the completion of drafts and have some fun analyzing the results over good food and drink. That's all included as part of the Events Fees.

This marks our seventh straight year in Chicago and two of our six NFFC overall champions have come out of the Windy City. I'm not saying it's going to happen again, but hey, history can repeat itself, right? ;)

Let's use this thread to enjoy the Windy City events, to smack talk, to introduce the participants and more. I'll keep a running thread of signups for you, so look here if you're interesting in the Windy City. Here's the current signup list and enjoy:

I considered some other venues, but this one is looking better every time I read about it!

Now I just need a "betting horses for dummies" book to make the weekend complete! :D

You need to watch TVG, Billy, channel 602 if you have DIRECTV. Not only that, but if Darryl is there which I suspect will happen, you will have all the handicapping knowledge you need. Like you, I haven't 100% committed yet as I want to see where the other 3 venues in Dallas, Minneapolis, and Denver are going to be but Chicago is top 2 right now with Vegas.

Greg,

I won my a free entry into the NFFC classic via a snapdraft contest last season but never received any notice from Fanball. I e-mailed them and they said i'd get a certificate soon, that was back in December. I don't see my name on the sign up list. Do I need to do anything to get signed up? I plan on attending the one in Arlington Heights.

Thanks

Thanks Awesome Bato and I remember you winning that. I'll have Tom sign you up now and you'll be good to go for Arlington Park. Congrats and we'll take care of the book keeping on our end. Thanks and good luck in the NFFC Classic.

Now, if you'd like to add the NFFC Primetime as long as you're there I can certainly help you. ;)

That was quick! I got a confirmation from fanball that I'm in...Thanks.

Let me see how my baseball teams turn out before signing up the primetime...I'll probably be in red so I'll probably end up working the draft instead!

Greg,

Are you working with any hotels for Chicago?

If not, I may sleep right on the grass on the track! :D

Greg and Billy,

Dont know if this item was returned to because I cant find the original thread, but I have seen the VIP ticket. Free limo to the Flamingo?, but havent been able to read the rest. It is easier to see on the first load on an iphone because it loads slower.
