Greg...I think it would be helpful if you could post in one place all the rule and scoring changes (if any) for 2010 compared to 2009.

That would save a lot of questions and digging for information later.

Thanks!

What about the double turnover rule. Is that being addressed this year or at least clarified?

I hope so, Wayne, because I sure don't want the "Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in Wisconsin" coming up with the same ruling this year if it happens that they came up with last year. :D

Wayne This was the one item I told Tom we needed to address in our rules. Someone help me clarify this.

One rule I thought was going to be added was a deduction for ST/DEF for a fumble on a punt or kickoff.

An individual player should definitely get 6 pts for a TD scored by any means. Whether or not each Def/ST gets 2 pts for a double turnover, I care less about that, but it does need to be clarified in the rules one way or the other.

After Eddie Royal's two-return-TDs for zero fantasy points last year I thought Greg said something about reconsidering that scoring

What about:

If the offense of a team runs an offensive play(Excluded are Special Team Plays of Punt, Pooch Punt, Fake Punt, Field Goal, Fake Field Goal, Extra Point Kicking, Extra Point Attempt for 2 Points) and an offensive player scores a touchdown as a result of the opposing defense forcing a turn over(fumble/interception) and in the course of the same play the defense turns the ball back over (Double Turnover) then the offensive player that scored the touchdown would be awarded the Fantasy Points for that touchdown. No Fantasy Points are awarded for Yardage or the turn over (Fumble/Lateral Interception) to that scoring offensive player. All turn over Fantasy Points (Fumble/Interception/Lateral Interception) would be awarded to the respective defense in the game.

What does everyone think ?

Sincerely Dirty,
Deeds

You are right-on, DD, as that's the way the NFL rule reads. Scoring is points for the individual offensive player if he scores aka Robert Meacham and D/ST points for both teams for double turnover.
