I am attempting to develop a ranking methodology for accumulated lifetime accomplishment in the NFBC and NFFC. The concept is based on Lifetime Championship Scoring (LCS) points. Anyone cashing out any NFFC league scores LCS points, the higher the lge or accomplishment, the higher the points. Scoring detail below, anyone with 10 pts or more makes the list. (Co-manager data not yet available).

NFFC Leaderboard

The Elite - Averaging double digit LCS points per NFFC season
Josh Ferenc (56)
Mark Srebro (56)
Rob Benetti (50)
Kyle Pope (44)
Glenn Schroter (42)
Eddie Gillis (34)
Michael Edelman (34)
Scott Stauffer (34)
Mike Ward (32)

Title Contenders - On the verge of Stardom
Donald Thompson (28)
Johnny Frisella (28)
Billy Wasosky (26)
Ken Magner (25)
Eric Lundquist (24)
Jules McLean (24)
Lewis Lightfoot (24)
David Zwickel (21)
Barry Harcus (20)
James Mack (20)
John Bayley (20)
Joseph Treffiletti (20)
Mark Moyer (20)
Scott Gunaca (20)

Proven Winners - Skills to compete at the highest level
David Fisher (17)
Stephen Jupinka (17)
Chris Cannataro (16)
Dave Cushard (16)
Edward Killmer (16)
Kenrol Paynter (16)
Larry Schechter (16)
Ronald Rogers (16)
Shawn Childs (16)
Rick Thomas (14)
Jeff Clampett (13)
Lonny Graves (12)
Steve Pletkin (12)
Jason Steeves (11)
Richard Dunn (11)
Mike Ferre (10)
Rick Hart (10)
Wayne Ellis (10)
Will Robertson (10)

LCS Point Accumulation:
Win Overall Main Event (40)
Top 3 Overall Main Event (16)
Top 8 Overall Main Event(8)
Points Leader, regular season, Main Event (8)
Consolation Bowl winner (4)
Top 4 Consolation Bowl (2)

Win a lge with an entry fee => $5000 = 16 pts
Win a lge with an entry fee => $1000 = 8 pts
Win a lge with an entry fee => $500 = 4 pts
Win any lesser lge = 2 pts

Cash out in a lge with an entry fee => $5000 = 8 pts
Cash out in a lge with an entry fee => $1000 = 4 pts
Cash out in a lge with an entry fee => $500 = 2 pts
Cash out in any lesser lge = 1 pts

* For a super-satellite lge which combines multiple leagues, multiply the entry fee for that lge by the number of lges to determine pts awarded (i.e., $250 entry with 2 leagues of 14 owner would equal the point level of a $500 entry lge ($250x2)

** Teams do not win duplicate pts for the same team in one league (i.e., if a league H2H season winner also cashs out in the playoffs, that team if not awarded LCS points multiple times), with the exception of consolation bowl or overall main event winners.

King,

Before people start telling you what you did wrong or debating the validity of your rankings, I want to say great job. I assume you had to take the time to go through all the leagues and identify results. This kind of thing is fun to me and hopefully the NFFC can streamline it in a way that rankings or historical results and accomplishments for each NFFC player in time will be easily accessible.

Now, I have a few questions. One of the problems with giving an overly heavy benefit to "profits" is there are 2 or 3 spots where a team can hit the jackpot with huge profits that really in no way showed better fantasy skills than someone winning an individual league. I will go back to my previous example of if I were to win the main event, but fail to make the playoffs for 8 other seasons, I will would be a top ten player if we go by money earned as the primary measuring stick. To me, someone else who made the playoffs 4-5 times, but never hit the overall jackpot in the post season the way I did that one time would have the more impressive resume. Maybe I am alone in seeing it this way.

Use me as an example. I want to understand how you are doing this. I have played in 4 NFFC events. I have been the top overall scorer in 3 of them.

1st total point & H2H in 2004 ny league 4
1st total point & H2H in 2005 Magazine league
1st total point & 2nd H2H in 2006 ny league 6

In 2005 main event I finished middle of the pack in my league with 7-6 record and poor total points.

How did you come up with my "16" points for the rankings?

This is an excellent starting point. Nicely done KJ.

Why no listing of the DC leagues?

I also think that you should get points just for making the Championship Round. Maybe 2 or 4 as that is at least as good an accomplishment as winning a Sat?
