Here are some thoughts and observations with every game but one in the books for Week 14:
The Packers have struggled at times this season closing teams out. That could be an issue for them in the playoffs.
Speaking of the Packers-Bears game, I have to say that Jay Cutler resembled an NFL quarterback for most of the game yesterday. That's a pretty huge improvement over his previous three weeks.
The Saints and Colts continue to live dangerously but give them credit for finding a way to win. That's what great teams do.
People can rip on Reggie Bush all they want - and many of the criticisms are legitimate - but the guy has always had a serious nose for the end zone.
Watching the Saints game, though, I can't for the life of me figure out why Sean Payton passed on a chip shot FG by Garrett Hartley in favor of a fake FG that was doomed from the start. Up 3 late in the game, take the points. Instead, he gave the Falcons life and they nearly rallied for the tie. That's pretty poor coaching.
On the flip side, there's nothing great anymore about the Patriots. Tom Brady is not playing well and the dog in Randy Moss has finally surfaced. Let's get something straight about Moss - he is and always has been a front-runner. When things are good, he's fine. But he's not someone who's a positive influence when times are tough. And times are tough right now in New England because the Patriots do not look like a dominant team anymore. From a fantasy perspective, it's tough to bench Randy Moss but if you have insane depth at WR it's certainly become a viable option.
I'd say that Raiders fans are laughing about this turn of events but they have far more pressing issues to be concerned about than Randy Moss. Like the fact JaMarcus Russell might be their starting quarterback again.
Hey, Vincent Jackson is alive. Cool.
Mike Sims-Walker - you are officially dead to me.
Hold on, I think Brandon Marshall just caught another pass.
Don't look now but Jason Campbell's making a free-agent push.
Were there people seriously worried about Adrian Peterson? Seriously?
Chris Johnson sure is a lot of fun to watch.
Speaking of the Titans, how obvious is it that Jeff Fisher wants no part of LenDale White on his team? Tennessee had a 500-point lead in the fourth quarter and White still couldn't get on the field.
There may not have been three easier teams to pick this week than the Ravens, Titans and Jets. Honestly, those games were all over before they started. The Lions, Rams and Bucs never had a chance.
So much for the idea that Daunte Culpepper can still throw the deep ball.
I genuinely feel bad for Steven Jackson. It has to suck being the only great player on a truly horrible team.
I think the Giants may want to invest in some defensive players in the offseason.
The Chiefs don't have much but they have a running back in Jamaal Charles.

But the bottom line is Sims-Walker can't be trusted anymore. He's playing poorly, his QB isn't very good and he doesn't appear to be healthy.

And very costly in the WCFF championship when
u have Ray Rice who's heading for the monster game of his life and he's pulled early, while the leader has CJ and he's still playing with a hundred point lead. I was almost rooting for him to be injured (almost)
....p.s. I'm getting really tired of Peyton M. padding his stats with with these cheap little 1 yard TD throws.
Swallowing those bitter pills this morning.

If we're going to talk about cheap 1-yard TDs, how about the one the Titans got near the end of the game? Chris Johnson gets stopped at the 1 (ugh) and what do they do on third down with a 900-point lead? They throw the ball. TD from Collins to Crumpler.
No TD for Johnson.
And yes I realize Johnson was kinda good but when you're at the 1 in a game like that, it sure seems like another TD was going to happen.

Not wishing it upon him or his owners, but I will be the first to say "told you so", when he is in a blowout game, and he gets injured.
Jeff Fisher needs to watch "Friday Night Lights", as Chris Johnson is the modern day "Boobie Miles".

I agree Billy but if you're an incredibly stupid owner who left Reggie Bush on his bench yesterday in favor of Mike Sims-Walker, you needed all the points you could get.
Good thing none of us here are that stupid.

Good thing none of us here are that stupid. You are too hard on yourself. Playing Reggie Bush yesterday took alot of courage, after he pissed off his coach last week and he was getting only a handful of touches the last few weeks.

Tom, maybe you can just blame your decision on a senior moment!
