The NFFC and RotoPlay.com have reached an agreement where one winner of their mid-season baseball contest will win a free entry into the 2006 National Fantasy Football Championship. Thanks to Korey Gardner and the guys at RotoPlay.com for teaming up with us for this offer. Details are below:

Want to participate in the NFFC but your wallet and the Ms. aren’t cooperating? Well, thanks to RotoPlay.com, you now have a solution to that problem. RotoPlay.com, a long-time FSTA company, has teamed up with the NFFC to provide a fully paid entry ($1,250) to one lucky individual. To win, you must play in the upcoming 2-week frenzy baseball contest and place in the Top 20. The contest runs from Monday, August 8th through Sunday August 21st. This fully paid entry into the NFFC is in addition to the already popular cash prize payouts we offer. The entry fee is $24.95 for the 2-week frenzy contest and each additional entry is only $14.95. A maximum of 8 entries is allowed. You must act quickly as RotoPlay caps the number of entries for their 2-week contests. Once the maximum number of 700 entries is hit, RotoPlay will stop accepting entries. Along with the paid entry into the NFFC, all players will be eligible for great cash prizes. So if you want to follow a path similar to how Chris Moneymaker used ($40 on-line investment) on his way to winning the multi-million WSOP, then this is your chance. Don’t like or follow baseball? No problem. Simply find a fantasy baseball friend to help you select your team. We know that shouldn’t be too hard to do.

Here is how it will work:

A maximum of 700 people will participate in the contest. The Top 20 finishers at the conclusion of the 2-week contest will qualify for a chance to win a free entry into the NFFC. This is in addition to the regular prize pool payout.
On Monday, August 1, the Top 20 finishers in the contest will be announced.
On Wednesday, August 3, the Top 20 contestants will each select one hitter for the (Fri-Sun) weekend of August 5th, 6th, & 7th. The order of these picks will determine on how you place within the Top 20. For example, if you win the contest, you would select the first player for the weekend tournament, 2nd place would select next, etc.
Once a player/hitter is selected for the weekend, he is off the board to the rest of the contestants.
The contestant who selects the hitter with the most cumulative RotoPlay points for the 3-day (Fri-Sun) weekend wins the NFFC fully paid entry.
Go to the contest home page to learn more about the rules, scoring system, prize pool or to enter, please click on the following link: www.rotoplay.com/frenzygame1.asp?sid=1

Tie-breaker:

Contestant’s player with the most HR’s over the weekend. If tied….
Contestant’s player with the most RBI’s over the weekend. If tied….
Contestant’s player with the most SB’s over the weekend. If tied….
Contestant’s player whose player’s team scores the most runs over the weekend. If tied….
Coin toss

This is a great way to use your fantasy sports skills to win a free entry into the NFFC. Your $24.95 entry fee could turn into a $100,000 payday! For additional information or questions, contact Korey Gardner at [email protected] Good luck!

Rules:

1. The first 700 entries into the 2-week contest are eligible for the NFFC entry. Entry deadline is 1pm on Monday, 7/18. Players may edit/change their picks at anytime up until the contest deadline.

2. All contest entries will be available for viewing and to track along by Wednesday, 7/20.

3. Winning contestant will be responsible for all expenses above the entry fee cost. This includes, but not limited to, airfare, hotel accommodations, meals, etc.

4. The Top 20 contest finishers must provide RotoPlay via e-mail with their weekend player list by 6pm Wednesday, 8/3. For example, if you finish 20th, you must provide RotoPlay with 20 player names in the order of preference. The player selections for the Top 20 contestants will be posted on the NFFC message board by Thursday, 8/4.

5. Once the player selections are in for the 3-day event, they are final. No points are given for canceled games due to rain or other factors. Please draft accordingly with that risk in mind.

6. A Top 20 contest finisher may waive his/her right to participate in the NFFC entry promotion.

7. Any contestant who has already submitted a registration form to the NFFC is eligible to participate and have their entry fee paid/reimbursed.

8. There is a maximum of 8 entries per player. If a player submits more than 8 entries, he/she will forfeit their rights to the NFFC paid entry. Player would still qualify for all other cash prizes.

No 2-Week Frenzy contests are open for player selection at this moment.

I just went to the link and it gave me that message. Are we too late?

They must have met their signup limit. I read into it a week ago. They said they would stop signups if they met their stated limit of teams.

Hi guys. Thanks for the interest. The deadline was for 1pm today. We had a good turnout although we still had room for a few more. In any event, it certainly was a good turnout and I will explore with Greg in doing the same thing for 8/8 - 8/21 baseball frenzy. Stay tuned....

Just wondering if this was still a possibility...I entered the last one knowing nothing of fantasy BB and did horribly, but was hoping for a second chance.

It looks like they sold out the first one and the top 20 guys are battling for the free NFFC entry this weekend. Should be good. I'll see if Korey is interested in a second contest and if so, you know I'll gladly accept! ;)
