Dumb Rule about Free Agents

Post by Zeus10 » Sun Oct 12, 2008 5:39 am

This week I was out bid on 2 of my TE's that I wanted to pick up. My TE has a bye week this week. So the next day I tried to pick up another tight end that I didnt bid on previously and guess what. There is only 1 FA pick up day a week. So since I was out bid on 2 TE's I have to play a TE that has a bye week. Every other league has a waiver period and then players are open to be picked up or dropped. Why would this league not do that? I will not play this league next year due to the FA rule.

Zeus , that happened to me once, so I learned a hard lesson. That lesson is.... Make 10 conditional bids if you have too..... so that u don't get stck with a Zero

A. Read the rules

B. If you really needed a TE, you should've bid on EVERY single TE available to insure you had one.

C. The NFFC will go on without you.

That pretty much sums it up...bid on em all and you'll have someone to play. A little extra work but at 1300 it seems like time well spent...

Zeus10,

I think most people have probably had this happen at some point in time. When I put in bids I will make 5-8 bids just to make sure that I get somebody to play.

I wouldn't rule out nffc next year because of this rule. All of the major fantasy football money leagues only have one waiver wire period so it's the same whether you play wcoff, nffc, ffpc, fantasy jungle, or many others. It's pretty standard to do it this way and at least you'll know going forward.

Good luck this week!

I am never one to bash anyone for a post, but not returning to NFFC because YOU do not know the rules, please go back to the Yahoo leagues, they will welcome you with open arms

I understand your frustration, BUT Shake it off, WE ALL LEARN FROM OUR MISTAKES, AND YOUR REALLY NOT GOING TO FIND A BETTER LEAGUE THAN THIS

I read the rules! I know what they are and I think they suck! Why would the rule be only 1 day for FA pick up?? I am in CBS, ESPN, and 2 other not as well known leagues and they all have a waiver period but after that you can add and drop at will. I like the no trade policy but the FA rule??? cmon! Also I really didnt think I needed to bid on more than 2 TE's but I guess I was wrong. At least the TE position doesnt give that many points, so I am not missing out that much.

Zeus, if U think it through, you will see why that is.

If everyone could wait till after the FAB to pic-up a player, it would take the STRATEGY out of Bidding.

Some of the guys Responded a Little Hard on U, But thats because wel all have a lot of Pride in this League and Probally take it a little personal when people Dis it. But I'm sure you were just Pissed and didn't really mean you were going to take your ball and go home
