Hey folks, let's kick off another week of the NFFC with a chat this afternoon. We have plenty to talk about; the NFFC continues to fill up; we've had some scrimmages and one pre-season game and another tonight. Am I the only one who's very interested to see how much Ricky Williams plays and how he looks? So let's chat it up this afternoon and have some fun.

Tom, do you find it offensive that the "American Bowl" was staged in Tokyo on the 60th Anniversary of the Hiroshima bombing? I thought it was a completely tactless move that smacked of ignorance.

I hadn't really known about that and I think it's probably safe to say nobody in the NFL's front office knew about it either. But it probably should have been rescheduled given the historial situation.

Hey Tom, how did our beloved Packers look during that nationally televised scrimmage against the Bills on Friday? I was too busy taking the kids to the Scandinavia Corn Roast and spending $60 on fair rides to watch that game. Fill me in. I assume we kicked butt, right?!!!

Ummm, yea that's what happened.

Both offenses looked pretty bland but Buffalo's was better. Bills' defense was very aggressive and the Packers had trouble picking up all of their blitzes. Packers' D was putrid. Losman didn't look too bad and I thought Rodgers' skills were evident although both made "rookie" type mistakes.

The Packers' star may have been B.J. Sander. That'll tell you what kind of a night it was.

I see Brian Westbrook is finally in camp. Guess he didn't want to take the $$ hit. How will having two disgruntled players in camp affect the Eagles? Andy Reid can't possibly be enjoying this as he will be answering questions about this for quite some time.

No soccer matches between the U.S. and the U.K. are scheduled on that date because the British are still smarting from that defeat.

Yes KQ, I saw the special on the Discovery Channel also. Very touching. Let us not forget that the Japanese of the 1930's and 1940's were sociopaths. They enslaved, tortured and killed untold numbers of Chinese and Koreans. They were willing to spill the blood of millions, if necessary, to reach their goals.

Fortunately today's Japanese have become good world citizens and our two countries have "let go" of the past. If they are not offended by an American Bowl on this date, why should we be?

Reid won't be enjoying things but he runs a VERY tight ship in Philly. I don't envision Westbrook being a problem. As far as TO, well he's TO so he'll be a pain but I still believe he'll produce as long as he's on the field.
