Joseph Treffiletti Wins NFFC Slow Draft Championship

CONGRATULATIONS to Joseph Treffiletti of Sunrise, Florida for winning the debut NFFC Slow Draft DC Championship. Joe actually won both of his $375 Slow Draft Leagues, but his TD's or GTFO team that he drafted later in the off-season led from start to finish and never was seriously threatened for the title.

Great job Joe. It's not easy to lead from Week 1 through Week 16. This was the debut season of our Slow Draft Championship as we finished with 16 leagues for a total of 224 teams. We will definitely continue this overall championship in 2012 and I'm sure expand well beyond 16 leagues. The lockout shortened the season for us this year, but look for these Slow Drafts to start much, much earlier in 2012 and grow. Starting in May rather than July will provide more growth opportunities for this format.
