2012 Live Events Signup Thread

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Mon Apr 16, 2012 8:41 am

We're a little late out of the starting gate this season, but we're happy to have all of our contests finalized, our FAAB deadline announced and our prize structures bigger than ever!! Last year we were happy to present TWO $100,000 checks for the first time and this year we have upped the ante with our biggest prize structure ever. This year we will happily hand out a $150,000 grand prize in the Primetime, a $100,000 grand prize in the Online Championship and a $75,000 grand prize with the biggest league prizes in the industry ($11,500) for the NFFC Classic. This should be a historic season for the NFFC and we can't wait to get it started.

Every single signup will be listed online so that folks know who is competing in each event and where they are competing. It also gives a transparent look at the interest in every contest that you are thinking of joining. This thread will capture all of the live event signups and we have other signup threads for the Online Championship & Satellite Leagues.

Our first official signup of 2012 is Dave Clum of Pembroke Pines, Florida, our 2011 NFFC Primetime champion. Dave won $100,000 last year with an unforgettable finish, jumping from 10th overall to the title during the season-ending Monday Night game between the Saints and Falcons. Dave is an NFFC Charter Member who has been with our football (and baseball) event since 2004 and last year he hit the jackpot, drafting in Chicago and taking the top prize. We're glad to have him back as our first official signup of the 2012 season and we'll toast his victory in Las Vegas on Labor Day weekend. That's where Dave is drafting from this year as he's rewarding himself with an Ultimate League entry as well!! :D Nice present to yourself Dave, congrats on last year's championship, and best of luck in 2012.

Now let's get to the signups. Here is the current signup list for our 2012 NFFC Live Events:

Are there any live drafts for events with buy-ins less than $500? Would like to come to Vegas to experience the NFFC but $1500 is not in the budget.

If not, would it be possible to have one if we agreed to raise the event fee percentage?

Thank you.

We don't have anything at the level Dave. The lowest we have is $850 for the auction and 14-team draft champion events. Unfortunately, having a live event at a $500 entry fee or lower is a loss leader. We've tried running live events at that entry fee and it was too difficult to do when you factor in all of the costs involved. We do have a lot of online leagues that carry entry fees at $500 or under. I know that's not the same as the live experience but at this time the live events will carry a higher price tag.

As they say in Madagascar 2, "Now that's a number I can live with!!" Deal. But I know you still want to add a Classic on the first weekend in Las Vegas. ;) Call me and we'll make any 3 work. Thanks Scott.
