I think this proposal is similar to others, but maybe a little simpler.
At end of 13 weeks, top 2 points teams move on to overall playoff for the $100 grand.
Then during weeks 14-16 you have league championship tournament where the top 2 record teams get a bye and the next 4 point high point temas play a wild card round in week 14, with the week 14 winners moving on to the league semifinals against the two top record teams.
If you don't like six teams advancing, give the team with the top record a bye and let two top point winners be the wild card teams. This allows a two-week championship game, which I actually prefer.
To me, this accomplishes a few things: the teams that score the most points in the league (arguably indicating the best two teams) move on to the big show (and will make the league playoffs). An owner who manages a team to the best record on lower points (arguably an inferior team) gets rewarded with a SHOT at the league championship and a leg up with a bye.
It's so crazy, it might just work.

i don't like it. keep the league champ between the top two teams. no need to involve another team. don't water it down.

Is my "weekend warrior" prep better than your prep?
