I'm happy to report that six owners have reached out to me and secured spots in the second annual NFFC Diamond League, which will be held at the Bellagio in Las Vegas on Friday, Sept. 9th at 10 am PT. Peter Berall of Montreal, Quebec is the defending league champion, having won everything possible and a cool $80,000. He was the first signup to return and for good reason!!

This is a 12-team league set up like the NFFC Primetime over a 13-week regular season. The top h2h champion after Week 13 wins $10,000 and the top total points leader after Week 13 also wins $10,000. The top four teams after Week 13 then advance to the Championship Round where the team with the most points wins $60,000 and the league title. Second place earns $25,000 and third place wins $7,000. Teams that didn't make the Championship Round compete in the Consolation Round where one team can still win $2,000.

It's a great league that will draft after the Thursday opener between the Packers and Saints. The competition is great, the live draft is great fun and the payback of 95 percent is FANTASTIC. No payment is needed until Aug. 1st and we are asking all owners to pay for this league via check, money order or cash. Let's pass the credit card savings onto the players in the form of great prize payouts.

The folks from last year's debut Diamond League are still trying to return to this second season, so I'm securing their spots first. Pat Sorge is being added to the list as tentative, but we're hopeful his work schedule allows him to return to Las Vegas with all of us on Friday, Sept. 9th. Here's the updated list:

We have more than 12 owners now tentatively in for the NFFC Diamond League, but it's tough to finalize this for sure at this point. I certainly understand why some owners are still tentative as I wouldn't finalize my entry for $10,000 either until the lockout was resolved. But there's no question in my mind that we will fill this league and I hope we don't leave anyone out who wants to get in. A second Diamond League anyone??

Josh Blumenreich of Phoenix, Arizona has grabbed one of the final spots in the NFFC Diamond League, which will be held Friday morning, Sept. 9th at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. Josh is a veteran NFFC and NFBC player who not only jumped into the Diamond League but grabbed spots in the NFFC Super Leagues on Monday, Sept. 5th and Tuesday, Sept. 6th. Welcome aboard Josh and best of luck in the hunt for our $80,000 in Diamond League prizes and our $20,000 in prizes in the Super Leagues.

We have 11 owners on our Diamond League list and one more owner is ready to jump in. We do have a few owners listed as tentative and we'll clarify those spots as soon as the lockout ends, but I think we're in good shape here. We should have a full Diamond League shortly. Thanks all.
