I'll Chat Today At 2 PM ET

Post by Tom Kessenich » Wed Jun 18, 2008 5:54 am

We have lots of fun stuff we can talk about. I've worked on four football magazines so far and we'll have our second issue finished soon. The NBC satellite leagues are open for signups. And the NFFC is gearing up for a big year.

So I'll be here at 2 ET today to chat with folks who want to bring some questions. So who's in?

Tom - on your (personal) RB rankings, where do you have Ahman Green? Who would be just above and just below him?

How do you see the Houston RB pie being divided as of June?

How do you see the Houston RB pie being divided as of June? I have Green at 37 right now. Here's a breakdown of the two in front and two behind him.

35. Rashard Mendenhall Pit. 6
36. Chester Taylor Min. 8
37. Ahman Green Hou. 8
38. DeAngelo Williams Car. 9
39. Ryan Torain Den. 8

I think the situation is a mess and one I plan on avoiding. Neither Green nor Brown can be trusted to stay healthy and Slaton looks like a change-of-pace RB, not a starter. I'm still trying to figure out why the Texans didn't keep Ron Dayne given how he's a better RB than anybody they have on their roster.

Which is actually pretty sad.

I guess the rest of the boardhounds are out playing golf Tom.

How do you see the division between DWill and Stewart? (assuming Stewart's foot is okay)

He fits John Fox's offensive approach much more strongly than Williams and if the Panthers truly believed Williams was starting material there's no way they would've drafted Stewart in the first place.

Hey TK, what is your take on Jordy Nelson? More pt than Jones? Better keeper value than Jones?

HEY TOM THE REDSKINS DRAFTED TWO RECEIVERS(DEVIN THOMAS AND MALCOLM KELLY) ALONG WITH T.E. FRED DAVIS WITH THEIR FIRST THREE DRAFT PICKS OBVIOUSLY TRYING TO BUILD THEIR OFFENSE.

ANY CHANCE THAT ANY OF THESE GUYS:

A) HELP JASON CAMPBELL'S FANTASY VALUE?
B) HURT SANTANA MOSS, OR CHRIS COOLEY'S VALUE?

I think Jones is going to be a good NFL wide receiver and if anything happens to Driver I expect Jones to be first in line to start opposite Jennings.

I don't think Moss should be viewed as anything more than a WR3 regardless of what the Redskins did in the draft. I'm just not a big fan of his. Never have been. I'd give Thomas an outside shot to replace Randle El as a starter - especially if Randle El doesn't get healthy.
